hey, doesn't this song feature Eminem too? The article only mentions Bruno Mars. Akababa (talk) 01:41, 29 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

The song is credited to Bad Meets Evil, a collaboration between Royce da 5'9" and Eminem. --Esanchez(Talk 2 me or Sign here) 01:57, 29 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

Differences between radio edit and album version

edit

other than the obvious censoring, anyone want to add this to the article? the only clean version i could find was the same length as the radio edit.. Impasse 04:20, 1 July 2011 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Impasse (talkcontribs)

I'd have to listen to them side-by-side, but there is a slight length difference. There is also a "Shorter Radio Edit" (as it's labeled on the CD single serviced to radio stations) that is something like 4:25. StrikerforceTalk Review me! 10:56, 1 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
I'm not sure if this is the length for the official single release or just for radios; However, we can put it in if you can find the exact length as "shorter radio edit". Thanks! WIKIPEDIAN Penguin (♫♫) 11:26, 1 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

There's two radio edits; the length of the normal version and one that takes out the end of Eminem's and Royce's verse, between "my car starts itself, parks itself and autotunes", and "now Bruno can show his ass without the MTV awards, gag" (I can't remember exactly where it is in Eminem's verse). Both are used on the radio, though.24.107.242.174 (talk) 22:20, 28 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

Possible release date

edit

The music video maybe released at August or September later. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Poseidon1224 (talkcontribs) 04:24, 30 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Any date is possible. Doesn't mean it's confirmed. A source would be nice. —WP:PENGUIN · [ TALK ] 12:23, 30 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

No dude, i just speculating, it would be released in next a month later or 2 months later. User: Poseidon1224, TALK —Preceding undated comment added 12:47, 30 July 2011 (UTC).Reply
Well, if that's the case, you're probably right. It only makes sense. I hope you aren't thinking about putting this on the article though. —WP:PENGUIN · [ TALK ] 13:23, 30 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
Of course! If i put my speculation in the article, there (maybe)a conflict! - User: Poseidon 1224 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Poseidon1224 (talkcontribs) 00:18, 31 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Requested move

edit

If you type in "Lighters" into Wikipedia, it redirects to "Lighter". If someone wants to search for this article, they would have to go through the disambiguation page. They would need to search for "Lighters (song)", but I doubt anyone searching fo it the first time would type in the exact match. Moving this article to "Lighters", omitting the "(song)" part, would be easier for navigation to this page. A hatnote can then be place on top of this article to the disambiguation page. Shuipzv3 (talk) 22:05, 30 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

Actually, I think it's fine. People interested in lighters will type in "Lighters" and go to that article. There is a disambiguation page if they want to check out the song article instead. —WP:PENGUIN · [ TALK ] 22:26, 30 November 2011 (UTC)Reply
I'm not sure about that, I think if they want to search for lighters they won't use the plural form (or at least some of them). Shuipzv3 (talk) 23:43, 30 November 2011 (UTC)Reply
But I also believe that having an article named "Lighter" and another called "Lighters" is a very subtle difference. Do you think it can confuse readers? —WP:PENGUIN · [ TALK ] 00:03, 1 December 2011 (UTC)Reply
Yes, it may confuse some readers, but shouldn't a hatnote on top of each article be able to clarify? Shuipzv3 (talk) 00:12, 1 December 2011 (UTC)Reply
PLus, there are many articles with similar names. —WP:PENGUIN · [ TALK ] 00:17, 1 December 2011 (UTC)Reply
I see what you mean (Lighter (disambiguation). I checked the pageview statistics: Lighters (song) have more views than Lighter, Lightering and Lighter than air, although not by a huge difference. Shuipzv3 (talk) 00:30, 1 December 2011 (UTC)Reply
Regardless, I feel that all the similar articles will be confusing, so it's best to leave the "(song)". I think Bullet (disambiguation) is also a similar case, where "Bullets" redirects to "Bullet", but there are a few works with the pluralization. The statistic differences do not look all that significant and let's not forget that there are people who are interested in learning about lighters in lieu of an Eminem/Royce da 5'9" song. —WP:PENGUIN · [ TALK ] 00:48, 1 December 2011 (UTC)Reply
Hmm. Thank you for your insight. I'm agreeing with you now to leave it as it is. Happy editing! Shuipzv3 (talk) 01:01, 1 December 2011 (UTC)Reply
Same to you! :) —WP:PENGUIN · [ TALK ] 01:02, 1 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

T-Pain

edit

What connection does T-Pain have to this song, other than the lyrics: "ya'll a' doomed, I remember when T-Pain ain't wanna work with me, my car starts itself parks itself and auto-tunes?" — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.107.242.174 (talk) 21:49, 28 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

With all due respect, where do you find this in the article? —WP:PENGUIN · [ TALK ] 21:51, 28 January 2012 (UTC)Reply
Not in the article, but in the song;those lyrics lead me to believe T-Pain is somehow involved.24.107.242.174 (talk) 22:13, 28 January 2012 (UTC)Reply
I'm not really sure either, but you should ask outside Wikipedia, as this page is dedicated to improving the article. You will get a better response outside wiki. :-) —WP:PENGUIN · [ TALK ] 22:17, 28 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

Underground Tunnel

edit

@MarioSoulTruthFan: There may be some road tunnels above the ground somehow, perhaps through a building. However, this article is all we are concerned about. And more importantly the context in which the tunnel is discussed to see if there's any ambiguity. In this case, I don't see any, because Eminem is going through a trap door, and down a ladder with pipes. Do we need to remind the reader at this point that the tunnel he is in, is underground when that's already established? Why are we reminding them? Leitmotiv (talk) 02:33, 13 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

@Leitmotiv:I made changes to make it more correct see if you agree, I believe its better this way. MarioSoulTruthFan (talk) 12:06, 13 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
@MarioSoulTruthFan: Oh that is much better. Thanks! Leitmotiv (talk)
