1 day legislator

Per the article, Hale was a 1-day-serving legislator, as a temporary proxy replacement. She was not a regular member of the legislature.John Pack Lambert (talk) 15:00, 2 April 2024 (UTC)Reply

"Per the article" apparently refers to the referenced newspaper articles, not our article here about Lilian Hale. And it is true, I looked into the sources and all speak of "for one day" or "for a day or two". The way our own article is written makes it seem, though, that she still IS, as of now, May 30, almost 4 months after she was sworn in, a voting member of the Washington House of Representatives. If that is the case, it would need a good source for that. If not, and if she was in fact a one day legislator, then this has to be clarified and she cannot be described as being a member of the House in the present tense. Her personal record, of course, would still stand even if she had been a member for only a second.--Proofreader (talk) 16:34, 30 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
