Lillian Smith (entertainer) → Lillian Smith (trick shooter) – "(entertainer)" fails WP:PRECISION as it could mean anything, no help to anyone using top right hand box autocomplete preview nor Google. In the context of the Wild West "trick shooter" is more appropriate than the modern "exhibition shooter" cf. Glenda Riley The Life and Legacy of Annie Oakley 2002 Page 24 "In addition, theater audiences had long appreciated "western" plays about Daniel Boone and Davy Crockett, and vaudeville audiences expected every bill to include at least one trick shooter. Then, in September 1874, the newly formed .. (In passing note that Lillian Smith WP:TWODABS Primary here is probably Lillian Smith (author), but that's another discussion). - Support I'm not a fan of the "entertainer" qualifier in general, but it seems absurd to use the same term as we do for PSY or Madonna. --BDD (talk) 18:00, 15 December 2012 (UTC)
- Neutral; I agree "entertainer" seems a bit off in this case, but we have no rule about disambiguators needing to be precise. All the disambiguator has to do is distinguish this Lillian Smith from any others who have articles. Powers T 22:31, 15 December 2012 (UTC)
