What is wrong in specifying Christian religion?
editThere are 7 billion people in the world. 5 billions are something other than Christian. If this endowment was really supporting "religion" in a sort of generic sense it would be supporting Islam in Muslim countries, Hinduism in India, Shinto in Japan, Deism and Pandeism in whatever communities those were the major religions. If you send missionaries to a country where the people already have religion, to get them to change religion, then it is not accurate that you are supporting "religion" but only a specified religion.
