"Invalid Taxon"

edit

There is no such thing as an invalid taxon or an unacceptable taxon in taxonomy. There are such things as subjective junior synonyms, objective junior synonyms, available nomens, and unavailable nomens. One or more taxonomists' revisions involving a genus switch does not make the former term "invalid" or "unacceptable". — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2607:FCC8:E846:FD00:E9F8:9889:4EF0:C916 (talk) 23:39, 26 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
