Who cares?
editWho cares about that Ms Bresonik is bisexual? That kind of information should not be part of Wikipedia articles. Do you want to mention that a majority is heterosexual? Is it necessary to mention that someone is gay, bisexual, masochistic, whatever? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kebne62 (talk • contribs) 13:49, February 12, 2008 (UTC)
- I agree. This subject is notable because of her football, not her relationships, which are irrelevant. Furthermore, the paragraph was written in a breathless tabloid style which IMO has no place in Wikipedia. I have therefore deleted it. Beechnut (talk) 08:51, 16 October 2009 (UTC)
- If we have this information we write about spouses in each article. It is an integral part of the private life of that person. Regardless of her sexual preferences, why should we do that different for Linda Bresonik? I totally agree that tabloid style is inappropriate, though.
- Regarding "not mentioning that somebody is heterosexual": We don't mention heterosexuality because if you don't tell somebody about the sexuality of a person we assume s/he is hetero. Discriminating? No, just human, most people are hetero (definitely no judgment implied) and it is just simpler for our mind to assume that a person we know nothing else about is hetero, too, adjusting that picture as new information becomes available. While somebody might find this offensive it is just --as far as science knows-- a basic principle of how our mind works. OdinFK (talk) 09:09, 16 October 2009 (UTC)
The point you're all missing is that it doesn't seem to be sourced that she is a bisexual. 86.41.73.224 (talk) 00:29, 5 February 2014 (UTC)
