Problem with source
editIn the initial draft I cited a source by uinterview.com. After trying to post, I found that this source is on Wikipedia:Spam blacklist. Among other things, this probably means that the news story in that source is a summary of more reputable publications.
I feel comfortable leaving the citation for now because I think it publishes a good summary of facts which each could be traced to journalists at other publications. Soon the citation to uinterview should be replaced. Blue Rasberry (talk) 12:00, 15 September 2016 (UTC)
- I tracked the original sources for all the information I included from that source, and deleted that citation. Blue Rasberry (talk) 01:54, 19 September 2016 (UTC)Resolved
Subject lacks notability
edit"Dating Edward Snowden" is not sufficient to justify a standalone Wikipedia article. See WP:INVALIDBIO.--agr (talk) 17:37, 15 September 2016 (UTC)
- ArnoldReinhold I do not find talk page conversations about deletion useful. Would you do me the favor of making a nomination to WP:AfD? That process is the standard path to resolution for these things. Blue Rasberry (talk) 18:03, 15 September 2016 (UTC)
- Bluerasberry Ok, I've nominated Lindsay Mills at AfD.--agr (talk) 13:15, 16 September 2016 (UTC)
October 2014 theatre outing
editIt seems that in October 2014 Mills and Snowden went to the theatre in Moscow and local media reported on the outing. I cannot read Russian and am not sure of the original source, but in English, it seems that the Daily Mail was the first major media source to report on this. The English source could be replaced with the Russian original if anyone can identify it. Here are the leads -
Daily mail source
editPer WP:DAILYMAIL the source is not to be cited. I do not want to discuss this for now, except to preserve this text from the version I just restored.
In February 2015, Anatoly Kucherena stated, "Edward Snowden is happy that his girlfriend Lindsay Mills came to Russia and that she is supporting him".[1] In October 2015 news reported that Mills and Snowden went to see a show at a theatre.[1]
