Notable ?

edit

I don't know if the subject of this article is really notable enough and I have tagged it accordingly in the above template. I leave the decision to someone in the know. I have somewhat wikified the article, but it can't stay as it is. Rosenknospe 11:42, 27 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

She was the first female anchor of a news broadcast and sought to facilitate dialogue between Kennedy and Castro. From a women's history point of view (at least) she is really notable enough to remain. I intend to do some more research and add to the article. She is mentioned in numerous declassified CIA documents. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nmccalla (talkcontribs) 23:58, 24 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Clarification on news program

edit

When ABC fired Lisa Howard, the News with the Woman's Touch program wasn't cancelled - she was replaced as anchor on that show with Marlene Sanders. I also have to wonder if her work on behalf of Keating was what was spoofed in the SCTV episode from 1978 about the Melonville municipal election, where Earl Camembert (Eugene Levy), the SCTV News co-anchor, was at the same time working as campaign manager for the ill-fated run for City Council of Johnny La Rue (John Candy). —Wbwn (talk) 18:25, 13 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
