This is not a lists article
editHey User:Thumperward, this is not a "lists" article, thus please restore the article name. • Sbmeirow • Talk • 22:47, 19 June 2023 (UTC)
- It's five sentences and a bunch of data sheets. It's not an article at all. Decide what you want done with it and propose that: the former solution, where this was just a random grab-bag of stuff, is not a long-term solution. Chris Cunningham (user:thumperward) (talk) 23:04, 19 June 2023 (UTC)
- I already stated what I want. You NEVER added a banner to ask for improvement. You NEVER declared it as a STUB. You NEVER posted anything on the talk page about this issue, nor have you ever edited this article before today. • Sbmeirow • Talk • 01:34, 20 June 2023 (UTC)
- Delete the whole thing. Wikipedia is not a parts catalog. There's no explanation of the significance of any of the train-spotting details. These diodes might as well have come off a flying saucer, for all that you're going to learn about them here. --Wtshymanski (talk) 02:36, 26 June 2023 (UTC)
- 1N5819 is so darn RARE that it is only gets 576,000 results on Google, thus your comment must mean a UFO is permanently hovering over your house right now. • Sbmeirow • Talk • 06:23, 26 June 2023 (UTC)
- Do any of those Google results explain the significance of this part, or how many are made in a year, or why it was considered necessary to invent it, or what company first registered it with JEDEC, or anything not found in the big-old ECG substitution handbook? You know...content. Used to be important in an encyclopedia, I hear. --Wtshymanski (talk) 01:07, 29 June 2023 (UTC)
- Thank for offering to add content to this stub/start article. • Sbmeirow • Talk • 06:00, 29 June 2023 (UTC)
- You are mistaken. No thanks are necessary. This is one of a whole class of Wikipedia "things" (not really articles) that I'd like to see deleted and the ground salted to prevent their rising again. --Wtshymanski (talk) 04:01, 7 July 2023 (UTC)
