editSo.. My question is.. they are giving the winner of cycle 10 before it aires?

editIf you look at the discussion at Wikipedia_talk:Captions you will see the that, WP:CAPTION#Credits. is highly disputed, and that there is real concern for copyright isues. the people arguing about concensus miss the point. You can't void legal requirements by consensus. ... MistyWillows talk 19:02, 17 May 2009 (UTC)
Amber cycle 13?
editIn the first episode of Cycle 13, Amber was among the 14 girls chosen to compete in the competition. In the next episode, however, it was told that she was withdraw/removed for 'personal reasons', and Lisa, one of the hopefuls that didn't make the first cut, was given another chance (only to be eliminated later in the same episode). The thing is, though, Amber WAS officially a contestant and still deserves to be acknowledged on the page, as well as the Cycle 13 page. How should it be included on the page, though? Coinboybrian (talk) 19:28, 10 September 2009 (UTC)
- Hi Coinboybrian, I really beg to differ. I feel that Amber shouldn't be an official contestant simply because:
- She never made it into the house to start the main competition, just like all the semi-finalists
- She never had a single promotional photograph taken, and did not appear in any Cycle 13 promotional material
- Her bio isn't even mentioned (even slightly) on the CW website
- She quit (not even eliminated) before the start of the main competition, just like all the other semi-finalists
How can then can she be considered an "official" contestant? Food for thought, would the same situation arise if Amber had quit on the spot? What if six girls quit and Tyra called back another six girls? Then the no. of "official" contestants would increase to 20?ZephyrWind (talk)
Heights?
editI think that the heights of the contestants should be added into the grid as a new column, but I'm not sure how to do that. Any thoughts? — Preceding unsigned comment added by TheMarissaDanielle (talk • contribs) 21:45, 18 July 2011 (UTC)

Finish Number
editPlease provide a source for the finish order - I believe that this is indeed WP editors collective WP:OR so unless a WP:RS can be shown for it, it should be removed. For example please can someone verify that Laura Kirkpatrick came fourth or was it third in Cycle 17 by using a WP:RS. Mtking (edits) 09:13, 29 October 2012 (UTC)
Strange contestants
editThere should be another highlighting color for the strange contestants that got special notoriety like for some setback, or for a noted background like with CreepyChan, Allison Harvard. --150.216.254.206 (talk) 10:03, 20 October 2013 (UTC) Daniel Luke Barth
Contestant origins
editMany of the contestants are noted as originally being from other countries with no reliable source. While they may have heritage (only partial in some cases) and/or strong cultural upbringings, they are technically not "originally from" the respective countries in the way that the notation implies. I've compiled a list of the contestants in question.
- April Wilkner (Half Japanese, but not born or raised there)
- Brita Petersons (Born and raised in the US to Latvian parents)
- Gina Choe (Born and raised in the US to Korean parents)
- Kasia Pilewicz (Born and raised in the US to Polish parents)
- Marvin Cortes (Born and raised in the US to Honduran parents)
- Shei Phan (Half Vietnamese, but not born or raised there)
- Adam Smith (Half Malaysian, but not born or raised there)
- Justin Kim (Born and raised in the US to Korean parents)
- Justine Biticon (Half Filipino, but not born or raised there)
I don't think any of these contestants should be considered as being from another country simply based on their name, appearance, or ability to speak another language.
