editThe article should probably be called Anglo-Saxon Kingdoms or perhaps pre-unification kingdoms so Celtic parts can be included? Stan Shebs 07:59 Feb 14, 2003 (UTC)
Our naming conventions would ask for either Anglo-Saxon kingdom (if it has text about the kingdoms in general) or List of Anglo-Saxon kingdoms (if it's nothing but a list). (List of) Pre-unification kingdom(s) wouldn't be very good, since it needs something to indicate the location. -- Toby 20:23 Feb 20, 2003 (UTC)
I would think this article (or a sister article under some similar title) should include discussion about the nature and powers of monarchy in the Anglo-Saxon kingdoms, and the various provisions for the succession (hereditary or elected, how often were there usurpers, etc.). editThis article seems just to be a list of kings etc, which can be included in the heptarchy article, and doesn't have much reason to stand independent. Sadads (talk) 02:31, 18 May 2010 (UTC)
