Season Information

[updated December 2008]

Please read this before resetting the Aqua Teen season information! Someone does this every other day or so. It sucks. As of today's date (12/20/08) ATHF DVD Vol 6. has just been released. The episodes on the DVDs released by Adult Swim do not coincide with the actual season breakdowns.

Season 1 had 18 episodes. Season 2 had 24. Season 3 had 13. Season 4 had 13 also--there was a 3 Episode mini-season (Dirtfoot, Boost Mobile, Deleted Scenes), a long ass break while Matt and Dave worked on the ATHF Movie, and 10 more episodes (Dickesode-Carl Wash). Season 5, the most recent season to air, had 9 episodes (Robots Everywhere-Bible Fruit). Season 6 is expected to air May 2009. The four new episodes (Gene E, Shake Like Me, She Creature, Chick Magnet) will premiere in May, but were released early on DVD Vol. 6.

Season 1: Rabbot through Cybernetic Ghost

Season 2: Super Birthday Snake through The Last One

Season 3: Video Ouija through Spacegate World (Carl)

Season 4: Dirtfoot through Carl Wash

Season 5: Robots Everywhere through Bible Fruit

Season 6: *upcoming*

Here's the DVD breakdown:

DVD 1: Rabbot through PDA

DVD 2: Mail Order Bride through Universal Remonster

DVD 3: Total Recarl through The Last One

DVD 4: Video Ouija through Spacegate World (Carl)

DVD 5: Dirtfoot through Carl Wash

DVD 6: Robots Everywhere through Chick Magnet

Notice that the first two seasons of ATHF were stretched out over the first three DVDs. Also, the episode order on the first three DVDs is different. Seasons Three and Four were produced 13 episodes at a time, meaning DVD Vols. 4 and 5 contain complete seasons of the show.

The upcoming Season Six will have 10 episodes, including the 4 new eps from DVD 6. The season begins May 2009.

Hope this helps. --murrayjames 27 October 2006 (UTC), updated December 2008

Episodes returned to proper season orientation. This can be verified at the forums of myspleen.net

The information in the Preseason section needs to be tidied up a little. Also it should be moved out of Preseason and into a category called Specials or something along those lines. -spnorth

Mistake

Did anyone else see that the premiere of moonijiuana was not shown but the episode tThe clowning instead? --????

It was shown: Moonajuana at 10:30pm EST, The Clowning at 10:45. --murrayjames 22:29, 29 November 2006 (UTC)

Bart Oats/Oates

Although the baseball player's name is spelt "Oates," adultswim.com still lists the episode as "Bart Oats." Anyone have information as to which is the correct title? --Hotdoglives 05:24, 2 January 2007 (UTC)

The episode has been spelled correctly elsewhere on the site (including the original flash premiere on the homepage). I think it's just a typo. --murrayjames 09:13, 2 January 2007 (UTC)

Uhh...Bart Oates was a football player. He played center for the New York Football Giants and Forty-Whiners. He's got like 3 rings or something. But he's a center, so he gets no respect. Highonhendrix 21:39, 1 October 2007 (UTC)highonhendrix

Carl Wash airdate

I vote that we keep the airdate January 7th. Adult Swim hasn't said anything about the stealth-premiere. Whether intentional or not, it was hardly official. --murrayjames 09:30, 2 January 2007 (UTC)

Official or not, it was aired on December 22nd. --Hotdoglives 10:54, 2 January 2007 (UTC)

Well Janurary 7th came and went last nite and for whatever reason [as] decided to air the first of the revised set instead. 68.226.119.201 22:27, 8 January 2007 (UTC)
Yeah, I noticed that too. Hotdoglives was right... and [as] is notorious for changing their schedule without notice! --murrayjames 08:15, 9 January 2007 (UTC)

Production codes

Where did the production codes come from? A few other sources have production codes that are four digits. (2001 for Rabbot, 2101 for Escape from Leprechaupolis, 2102 for Bus of the Undead, and so on). :: ZJH (T C E) 02:38, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

THE EPISODE LISTING IS TOTALLY INCORRECT ACCORDING TO http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0297494/episodes

if you checked the airdates you can see that this list is actually correct...IMDB is not to be trusted...Grande13 20:41, 3 May 2007 (UTC)

Single episodes

I plan on redirecting these per WP:EPISODE soon. Information from multiple secondary sources must be present for a single episode to need an article. This includes reception and development. Single plot summaries and trivia don't make a substantial article. I suggest Wikia and tv.com as alternate venues for this information. TTN 17:55, 30 May 2007 (UTC)

yeah...you need to discuss this and get a consensus as most articles contain more than just single plot summaries and trivia and most are stand alone substantial articles. 68.72.141.190
Nope, that's all most articles are made up of. TTN 00:06, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
thats your opinion without you even researching anything to see if outside sources are used.
It isn't up to me to make sure there are no sources. I'm fine to just assume it most of the time. It is up to someone to actually prove that there are enough for every single episode. TTN 00:15, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
Don't redirect these, unless you are planning on merging the information. Otherwise, you would be hiding months of hard work by many editors. And, besides, the information does come from (mainly) primary sources, but there are secondary sources as well (see at the bottom of the episode list page for four secondary sources for all of the episode article information; I'll add those sources to each episode articles if that will keep you from destroying them).
Oh, and I do consider this list a work in progress, and will take your suggestions regarding what to add to these articles. —Zachary talk 20:25, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
There is nothing to merge. It's all plot information. The only actual source at that location is Aqua Teen Central, which seems to be a pure fan site (not a reliable source). It contains some bits of info, but nothing to help build these up too far. The others only have plot information. That isn't very useful. You need helpful DVD commentary (more than goofs), and non-trivial, third party development and reception sources. If those aren't provided, the episodes need to be merged. TTN 20:37, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
You are a liar! You should actually look at all of the episode articles before jumping to the conclusion that oh, since the one I did look at is poor, they all have to redirect. You obviously haven't seen Escape from Leprechaupolis or Gee Whiz, or Total Re-Carl. Each has more than just "simple plot summary", and some even cite "secondary sources" for non-plot-related information!!! (oh, but if you HAVE seen these articles, you would have known that, and wouldn't be threatening our work)
Obviously, the primary source will be the most used source, and these articles might contain plot information, but just because it does not currently have very much information does not mean the information is not available. Give us some time to work on these!! I'd rather you encourage us to find this information than discourage us. —Zachary talk 21:24, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
Those are trivial notes at this point. If more information was found, they would be fine to include in a development section, but stand alone, they're nothing. That is not enough to make sections or claim that all episodes can obtain information. You need some real definitive sources, not some here and there. TTN 21:28, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
right now the episodes are stubs and have some decent and valuable info the the series and encyclopedia while a few do need work...

"Stubs are allowed on Wikipedia and many articles are stubs. It may be inappropriate to merge or redirect an article about a television episode just because it is a stub. Before executing a merge, ask yourself:

Will the merge reduce the quality or coherence of the target article?

Also do some basic looking for additional source material that could be used to improve the article.

 Are more sources available?

If the answer to either of these questions is 'yes', it is probably better to forgo merging or redirecting. Instead, leave the article as it is or consider improving it."

so the answer to at least one of those is left so leave this alone and go work on redirecting articles noone watches

68.72.141.190 21:59, 31 May 2007 (UTC)

Both answers are no. Unless more sources are shown, they don't exist. Basically nobody watches any episode articles in the first place (five at most for the large ones), so your little comment is moot. TTN 22:02, 31 May 2007 (UTC)

I'm totally against merging these in. It's much more user-friendly to have details about a given episode be on its own page so that it doesn't clutter up the main page for ATHF. What's with the merge-nazis around here? Highonhendrix 21:47, 1 October 2007 (UTC)

Season 5

There are two episodes for Season five placed down here, but there's no source! Could some one please put up a source? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.66.105.99 (talk) 01:37, August 27, 2007 (UTC)

Seriously. Boston?? This has got to be vandalism. Given the way Turner/Adult Swim handled the Boston terrorism incident, I find it impossible to believe Dave and Matt built a whole episode in reference to it. I took the two eps out. Source, please :-) -- murrayjames 21:11, 28 August 2007 (UTC)

Why are 13 episodes listed at the top, but only 10 are named? What are the other 3, and when will they air? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.174.219.204 (talk) 02:01, 27 October 2008 (UTC)

Episode notability

All of the episodes of this series fail the notability guidelines for television episodes. The way for these articles to be improved is through the inclusion of real-world information from reliable sources to assert notability. That is unlikely to happen, and these only have certain bad aspects (though all may not apply) like containing overly long or one sentence plot summaries, trivia, and quotes. Per that, they need to be a small part of this list.

If there are no objections, these will be redirected soon. Otherwise, discussion will take place here. Please remember that this is not a vote. If you like the information, that's fine and dandy, but your opinion doesn't really count towards anything. The only opinions that do count are ones that that lean towards the inclusion of real world information. TTN 23:52, 30 September 2007 (UTC)

What I like is not just the information, but the way the information is presented. I find it is easy to use just the way it is. Highonhendrix 05:03, 3 October 2007 (UTC)

I object. I think that this is anal-retentive and subverts the whole purpose of the articles in question. Wikipedia is supposed to expand the knowledge available to its users, not reduce it. Merging and streamlining are fine when it enhances the accessibility of the information in the article, but in this case it diminishes it. To merge this as TTN has suggested is to be meticulous to a fault. Furthermore, it would undo many hours of hard work by fans of the show who took the time to create these articles in the first place. Perhaps instead of proposing to slash and burn, TTN, you could dig in and help out in finding the real world information you are calling out for. 70.161.175.154 23:25, 1 October 2007 (UTC)

If real world information actually existed, I would not be proposing to redirect these. The rest of that is opinion that becomes null in the face of WP:N, WP:V, and WP:RS/ TTN 23:31, 1 October 2007 (UTC)
I've merged season 1. It will take a short while to do the others. —Zachary talk 22:20, 2 October 2007 (UTC)
Unless the seasons have enough information on their own, there is no point in articles. They need to be able to contain information close to what is described in the production, reception, and award sections in Smallville (season 1). The plot summaries also have to be the size of the ones there at most. That is another reason to just keep them here. TTN 22:37, 2 October 2007 (UTC)
Dude, seriously, you are comparing plot summaries and such for an hour-long show with one that only uses up ten minutes worth of a 15-minute time slot! That's the ol' apples and oranges. What is the use of this discussion page if you're just going to announce your intentions and then just do it no matter what? Highonhendrix 05:00, 3 October 2007 (UTC)

I object as well. There is no reason for the merging. --ChrisP2K5 19:14, 27 October 2007 (UTC)

I too object, not only because I am a huge fan of the show... Markcambrone 15:40, 10 November 2007 (UTC)

No merge. Too much info on the pages. Mack-the-random (talk) 02:01, 20 November 2007 (UTC)

Merge - If you want the article to not be merged, please by all means, demonstrate some of its notability with out of universe sourcing such as interviews about how the season was developed and other things. Judgesurreal777 (talk) 02:04, 23 November 2007 (UTC)

TTN ruined everything

Hi. The user TTN has went in and mass-merged/-deleted all of the Aqua Teen episode information. So from sixty-eight pages of helpful (if disorganized) episode-specific information, we're left with one page of short paragraph summaries, and... that's it.

This is really frustrating. Shows like Family Guy, South Park, and the Simpsons have larger and more wiki-literate fan bases that have fought for and obtained articles on each and every episode. It seems, however, that no one in the Aqua Teen community knows enough about wikipedia to dispute/revert TTN's edits. I certainly don't.

Anyway, I think I'm done contributing here. I'm a huge fan of the show. Over the years, I've tried to help with the form and content of the Aqua Teen pages. It's discouraging to see my hard work go to nothing. And yours too—if you're one of the many fans who spent hours writing, citing, and editing the sixty-eight articles that are now literally history.

I looked on TTN's talk page. I guess he's eviscerated many, many articles on many topics. He's even received an award for it. What are us simple fans to do? The ironic thing for me is this: I'm a doctoral student at NYU, doing research and preparing for a dissertation I'll have to defend at length before a committee of professionals in my field. But I have no clue on how to win an argument on wikipedia. --murrayjames (talk) 23:46, 25 November 2007 (UTC)

TTN apparently missed the peer review of the Aqua Teen article at this link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Peer_review/Aqua_Teen_Hunger_Force , which was done six months or more before he slashed and burned. It recommends doing the exact opposite of what he did. He also seems to have missed the overall guidelines of Wikipedia, one of which is entitled: "Don't be a dick". Highonhendrix (talk) 13:06, 25 December 2007 (UTC)
the articles for individual episodes were just redirected, so technically you can revert them back if you think they still that is the best option and that they could meet the guidelines. I changed the first two episodes of the first season to show how it can be done. Grande13 (talk) 17:51, 25 December 2007 (UTC)

Robots Everywhere is episode 70

I'm not sure why, but everything I can find on adultswim.com's schedule points to Robots Everywhere being episode 70 and not episode 69. Even the .flv file has it labeled as episode 70. Should the list be in chronological order by airdates, or should we preserve the episode order? Kamek (talk) 03:54, 19 January 2008 (UTC)

It should probably be by airdate. Adultswim loves to change things up and jerk people around. That's what keeps us coming back for more. That and how senseless the shows are... Highonhendrix (talk) 08:17, 21 February 2008 (UTC)
Actually, the episode lists here on wikipedia are probably wrong. Episode 4x03 "Deleted Scenes" was originally aired as a half-hour episode, but all subsequent broadcasts have been as two 15min parts. I'd be willing to bet that this is where the Adult Swim numbering system is coming from. In an ideal world, it should be the way we've got it set, but this isn't an ideal world. Sweetfreek (talk) 05:58, 24 March 2008 (UTC)

Episode articles

Why are we bringing back the episode articles? There isn't enough real-world information to support having an article for every episode. Kamek (Koopa wizard!) 18:46, 7 April 2008 (UTC)

ATHF is a very popular show —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.192.168.70 (talk) 00:01, 25 April 2008 (UTC)

Season 5 and 6

There are a bunch of new eps listed, is this by a vandal? or is this confirmed information? Shake 3000 (talk) 19:42, 9 July 2008 (UTC) Another Website has confirmed that Season 5 will contain 13 Episodes, including Boston. One of these will be a Halloween Special, "Kings," in which each of the Aqua Teens, is in a different story by Stephen King. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.54.16.150 (talk) 00:09, 31 July 2008 (UTC)

Boston Episode

Is it possible that the "Boston" episode was a reference to the Boston bomb scare, and that it was pulled to avoid controversy or something? 71.166.80.198 (talk) 02:20, 18 July 2008 (UTC) (DavidJCobb, offline)

yeah the other reason is ridiculous. --Jwein (talk) 04:21, 31 July 2008 (UTC)

The Meat Zone Episode Titled Incorrectly

Season 2 The Meat Zone should be just "Meat Zone." It is listed as such on the DVD and listed with no space (Meatzone) on the offical ATHF website: http://wiki.adultswim.com/xwiki/bin/Aqua+Teen+Hunger+Force/ep+29 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.207.185.182 (talk) 13:51, 14 September 2008 (UTC)

Why does a search for Super Computer lead to this page? Shouldn't it go to the Supercomputer page, with this page listed in disambiguation? —Preceding unsigned comment added by DraconianDebate (talkcontribs) 06:24, 13 July 2009 (UTC)

Season Seven/Series Overview

Okay, I added Season Seven to the Series Overview. Season Seven is not very far away from beginning at all. Plus we already have 4 episodes listed, so I saved everyone else the trouble of adding it. But the No. of episodes, the DVD(s) volume(s) and the DVD(s) release date(s) are still blank as there is no information about the DVDs and there are only 4 episodes scheduled. I colored season seven the same color as family guy's seventh season (color #C5E4E1) as many of the colors are identical to family guy's color code (pale yellow, pale/medium blue, green, orange, dark red, purple, light blue, pale/medium yellow etc.), also is season seven scheduled for February 7, 2010 or February 8, 2010? Because it says February 8, 2010 (which is a Monday not a Sunday) while the list of episodes lists it as February 7, 2010...so, which one is it? — a>C-Son-L_Sweaters.exe 01:20, 10 December 2009 (UTC)

Season 08 push back date.

Season 08 has been pushed back. The listing on this page shows it to air May 8, 2011. TVRage shows it as starting May 31, 2011. I am not able to find any information from Adult Swim/Cartoon Network to find out the real date.

Is anybody aware of which date it really is? Was someone thinking May 31, but put May 8 thinking "Season 8".
