edit"The following list of Austrian Field Marshals denotes those who have held the rank of Generalfeldmarschall in the Austrian or Austro-Hungarian armies."
This sentence in Wikipedia contains an error: - In the Austrian and/or Austrian-Hungarian army there has never existed a rank of "Generalfeldmarschall" - the correct word is simply "Feldmarschall", literally the same words "field" and "marshal" as in English. The hypertrophic "Generalfeldmarschall" is a Prussian-German creation, which has never been in use in Austria or Austria-Hungary. (Since 1918 the rank of Field Marshal does not any longer exist in Austria). I therefore have taken the liberty to delete the "General-" in the aforementioned sentence.

Remark
editThe first person on the list of field marshals: "1805 – Adam Fürst Czartoryski-Sangusco (1731–1823)" should be linked to the article about "Adam Kazimierz Czartoryski". It is evidently the same person - one of the most important figures among Polish 18th century statesmen, commonly known as Adam Kazimierz Czartoryski. --178.183.128.176 (talk) 16:37, 15 April 2012 (UTC)
The birth date of "Adam Fürst Czartoryski-Sangusco" is also wrong - should be 1734.
