Survivor Count

edit

What was with the very sudden taking down of the survivor count? Was there any reason for that? I mean it might not be the most crucial information but other series have their own special columns like "Lost" and their column which says who the episode was focussed on. I don't see how the survivor count it any different.--Myles Trundle (talk) 06:19, 24 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

There never was any reason to put it to begin with. It is just a detail of the show, usual a pretty unimportant detail riddled with contradictions. And for the first season it wasn't even as present as later. On a technical side, it took up an entire column making it more difficult to include the other. That articles on other series do similarly strange things doesn't make it any better. Str1977 (talk) 22:19, 30 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
The way it was removed, not even an edit summary, it shows there was no effort to reach WP:CONSENSUS. -- Magioladitis (talk) 19:57, 4 April 2009 (UTC)Reply
Exactly. There was absolutely no explanation for its deletion and if you had believed there was an issue, this discussion page exists so that these types of issues can be resolved. --Myles Trundle (talk) 08:45, 10 April 2009 (UTC)Reply
Including the survivor count is a really annoying spoiler for someone watching the show for the first time and just looking at the list as a reference. Is that a good enough reason? 98.206.165.19 (talk) 07:44, 12 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

Onlyinclude tags

edit

Drovethrughosts can you explain why you reverted my removal of the <onlyinclude> tags? This page is not a template, and it is not transcluded anywhere. You edit summary did not really give me any insight as to why you restored them. Thank you! cymru.lass (talkcontribs) 21:11, 30 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

You removed the tags, and then manually added the series overview table, when that's the purpose of the tags, to translude content to another page. I thought at first there was an error and that's why you removed them, but it's working how it is suppose to. This is par for the course when it comes to TV articles, to transclude the series overview table to the main article, so you don't have to copy-and-paste the content and not worry about there being discrepancies between to two articles. My self-revert was because I unknowingly mistakenly made a mistake adding back the tags (I put the / in the wrong spot) and that added to the confusion that I thought there was a glitch going on with the transclude tags. Drovethrughosts (talk) 21:18, 30 September 2018 (UTC)Reply
Okay I see, you want the series overview table to link straight to the season articles, instead of to the subsections in the list of episodes page. Sorry about that. I can self-revert if you want. Drovethrughosts (talk) 21:28, 30 September 2018 (UTC)Reply
@Drovethrughosts: ok but as I stated in my edit summary, transcluding the series overview template on List of Battlestar Galactica (2004 TV series) episodes onto Battlestar Galactica (2004 TV series) was messing up the linking for the latter, since the former used section anchors that linked within the page. If you'll look at what I added to the latter vs what was transcluded from the former, you'll see linking differences that make the links actually navigate to something on the latter. cymru.lass (talkcontribs) 21:35, 30 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

Missing article for S2E17 "The Captains Hand?

edit

The link under S2E17 "The Captains Hand" appears to redirect to the main "Battlestar Galactica (2004 TV series)" article and not a detailed episode article. I could not find an article. Does one exist? My wiki-editing experience is limited to just small editing and not whole article creation. NickScalan (talk) 16:45, 5 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

The article was redirected last year. Drovethrughosts (talk) 17:34, 5 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
