Removed "...as the drama following the lives of three housemates who happen to be a werewolf, a ghost and a vampire continues." from the description of S2E6 which was totally out of place. Possibly indicating that the summary was copied and pasted from somewhere else. Probably worth keeping an eye on. Green0eggs (talk) 20:57, 16 February 2010 (UTC)
- The whole thing has a cut and paste feel - each episode's write-up is in the style of a listing magazine's teaser, with very little actual content. Lovingboth (talk) 22:17, 13 March 2011 (UTC)
Copyright Violation
editThe idea that the series 3 episode list is copyright is completely ludicrous - I tried fixing it but it just got replaced! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.14.174.9 (talk) 20:00, 14 March 2011 (UTC)
- Are you incapable of reading instructions? Do not edit the contents until the copyright issue has been decided by an administrator. The content is a direct copy and paste from the linked website, this is not allowed, the textual content of the BBC's website is not free to use. It would need completley re-writing not just referencing Carl Sixsmith (talk) 20:14, 14 March 2011 (UTC)
- You're wasting your breath here. Instead of re-writing the text from the BBC site, Wikipedia has to have committee and meetings and talks and something to make the admins feel like their actually doing something. Re-writing a paragraph would be far too easy! Seriously. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.171.213.203 (talk) 07:37, 15 March 2011 (UTC)
- no one is forcing you to visit this site and abide by its rules, you can always go elsewhere. Carl Sixsmith (talk) 08:07, 15 March 2011 (UTC)
- no one is forcing you to remove your head from up your arse. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.78.180.199 (talk) 22:36, 15 March 2011 (UTC)
- I went to the BBC page and couldn't actually find an episode listing. 71.35.202.119 (talk) 00:58, 16 March 2011 (UTC)
- If you read the copyright infringement notice it gives you the link to the page that has been copied and pasted. http://www.bbc.co.uk/pressoffice/proginfo/tv/2011/wk11/sun.shtml#sun_being Carl Sixsmith (talk) 06:10, 16 March 2011 (UTC)
How about just removing the episode descriptions (which are a clear copyright violation), and leaving the rest of the information intact? The table itself isn't a CV. --207.236.177.82 (talk) 14:33, 16 March 2011 (UTC)
- I agree with the statement above. Couldn't the episode summaries be removed because they are the only part that violates any copyright? Carl Sixsmith, you probably could have just removed the summaries and noted WP:COPYVIO in your edit summary. That's what I've seen regularly done with only paragraphs of copyrighted material in other television articles. I guess now we have to wait for an admin unless you'd be satisfied withdrawing the request for admin assistance and removing the violations yourself. Themeparkgc Talk 07:59, 18 March 2011 (UTC)
- I removed the existing summaries, and added new ones that aren't copyright violations or paraphrases of anything. Be bold. - Tim1965 (talk) 22:49, 19 March 2011 (UTC)
Individual episode articles
editI've started work on setting up a template for individual episodes, plus the navbox to add to the template. This is to contain the growing information and citations which are likely to develop in the future and to ensure a trimmer overview on this page (as more detailed expositions can then be moved to the episode pages). I'm as guilty as anyone else of inflating episode summaries here, but as the amount of information available is ballooning along with the enthusiasm (and the show deserves it) it's probably time to step up constructively. I'll put the first few up shortly. Contributions welcome. I'll try to keep down the OR. - Dann Chinn (talk) 13:19, 22 March 2012 (UTC)
- It seems that Future Perfect at Sunrise has deleted the individual series pages for S1-4 in the last few days, claiming Unambiguous copyright infringement. Meanwhile, S5 has had the episode summaries removed. Can the deleted pages perhaps be reinstated without the Episode summaries? chrisdonia (talk) 10:34, 4 February 2013 (UTC)
- It might be best to direct this query at the user's talk page. Themeparkgc Talk 22:40, 8 February 2013 (UTC)
