Issue dates are more of a technicality, and they're not really meant to imply that a chart "happens" on that week. For example, the tracking week for the August 18 chart ran from July 30 to August 5 for sales and August 1 to August 7 for airplay. This week's number-one was announced on Wednesday (August 8), and the full chart has been available since Thursday (August 9). Thus, by the time August 18 actually rolls around, next week's chart will have already been available for two days. --Wikipeep 494 (talk) 03:02, 15 August 2012 (UTC)Reply
