I don't see an infobox with no parameters being useful. It makes the image smaller and adds unnecessary bulk to the page In actu (Guerillero) ^{Parlez Moi} 03:27, 8 June 2020 (UTC)

  Infoboxes need to add something and this one is purely decorative. Further, it makes the image harder to see on both desktop and mobile If you would like to add the portal, please add a see also section. In actu (Guerillero) ^{Parlez Moi} 03:35, 8 June 2020 (UTC)

• I'm looking at it on my phone right now, and it looks okay to me. The infobox puts the portal up top. There is no need for the see also section as there is nothing there but the portal. --evrik ^(talk) 04:03, 8 June 2020 (UTC)

  @Evrik: I still find the decorative frame without any of the fields top be a waste of screen space. I am not against useful infoboxes such as at The Minute Man (at FAC) and List of presidents of Washington College (a FL). Per the MOS the use of infoboxes are not required and subject to the consensus on the talk page of the article. Seeing that there is no consensus to include it, the article should return to its stable state before you added it. Can you please revert yourself. --Guerillero | Parlez Moi 18:53, 8 June 2020 (UTC)

• I forgot about this, just as an FYI, Wikipedia:WikiProject_Scouting/Style_advice#Information_and_navigation_elements, was what I was thinking of. The infobox is used because it includes the portal. I also don't think it is a waste of space. We haven't asked for consensus, but we can certainly ask others. That said, if this is your hearts desire, so be it. Visuals

It's quite disappointing to see that we're not able to include the illustrations themselves due to NFCC rules. Trying to work around that, I wonder, does the Boy Scouts website or some other official place(s) host the images? If so, I think we might be able to justify having an external link column that'd take people to the illustrations. It's quite uninformative to see that e.g. the 1963 painting was A Good Sign All Over the World but have no way to easily find that painting, since the reference is just to a book that most readers won't be able to easily access. {{u|Sdkb}} ^talk 03:10, 30 January 2021 (UTC)

Guerillero, have you tried reaching out the National Scouting Museum? I'm not sure what the copyright considerations would be for them hosting the paintings on their own website, but telling them they're about to grace the front page of Wikipedia in a few weeks might spur them to put up the pages if they can. {{u|Sdkb}} ^talk 17:57, 30 January 2021 (UTC)

  @Evrik: You want to make a change that was pushed back on a number of times. You need to provide a meaningful reason for it beyond you want to add it. The box adds nothing to the article beyond a portal link --In actu (Guerillero) ^{Parlez Moi} 05:09, 30 January 2021 (UTC)

• Wow. Guerillero, looking at the history, you and your WP:Sock have made 90% of the edits. And, in fact, in the section on the infobox above the only discussion was between Evrik, you and your sock. So when you say "We diuscussed this months ago. Get consensus first," it was you and your sock reverting Evrik. • No, per WP:Disinfoboxes, since it makes the page look worse, and since it's impolite to try to force this sort of subjective choice on a featured list's primary author. If we want to link the portal, that should probably be done from the {{Boy Scouts of America}} navbox at the bottom. {{u|Sdkb}} ^talk 17:53, 30 January 2021 (UTC)
• Yes Currently the image gets lost on the left and side of the screen. I think that the infox helps fram and set the image apart. It also serves as a way of refereing the portal. I support having the Scout portal on the bottom, but only if the infobx is not there. --evrik ^(talk) 19:43, 30 January 2021 (UTC)

Still No - Please note the image is on the righthand side of the screen, the predominate location for most images of importance, so it is fully highlighted by its position.Parkwells (talk) 15:08, 4 February 2021 (UTC)
