I've gotten most of the academic buildings (the ones not under construction as of Summer 2007). If somebody wants to take pictures of all the dorms, that would be great. Apavlo 02:24, 31 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Changing Format

edit

Would there be any opposition to changing the article format significantly? The way it is now is really more of a photo gallery, and since a lot of these buildings will never get their own articles, I think it might be worth moving to a format more like List of Dartmouth College buildings, where we can include some content about each building (as it is now, there is no mention of which departments even occupy each building). - AWeenieMan (talk) 20:13, 5 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

If you want to change the format, go right ahead. I don't really have time to maintain this page Apavlo (talk) 06:32, 6 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Missing Buildings

edit

121 North Main Street is not included here, neither is the University council's building, also on N. Main Street. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 138.16.19.164 (talk) 16:41, 17 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

There are actually several buildings still missing. I am adding them as I come across them (and at some point I will actually go through the IMP/Facilities web site/EHS web site and make sure I have them all). Feel free to add buildings to the table (even if you don't want to write any text for them, it doesn't hurt to put a building on the list). As for the General Council's building, they are located in Benoni Cooke House, which is on the list already. - AWeenieMan (talk) 17:25, 17 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
Fulton Rehearsal Hall is also missing. Niffweed17, Destroyer of Chickens (talk) 06:20, 28 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Former buildings

edit

Has any thought been given to including former buildings, or is the list of those too long to contemplate? --Badger151 (talk) 18:40, 23 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Until recently (Richardson & Smith Pool), Brown rarely if ever tore down its own buildings other than old houses, though some houses no doubt were used as academic buildings and/or could have historical information available (can't-remember-its-name next to GeoChem before MacMillan was built, etc.). Duplication

edit

The Orwig Music Library is listed twice: once under "Academic buildings" (and listed as built in 1905) and once under "Libraries" (where its construction is listed as 1850). Can anyone clear up the discrepancy? WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 16:48, 14 February 2012 (UTC)Reply

The 1850 date is cited while the 1905 was not. I've removed the duplicate entry. Dialectric (talk) 11:40, 11 March 2012 (UTC)Reply
