About Ren's attitude
editI wasn't sure if this should be put in the actual article, so I thought that I should put it here to be safe.
Looking at when Ren talks to Karin about preferences and the incident when he was fourteen, it makes me wonder if Ren has a soft side too. He was the one to see if Karin was reacting to her own preference (unhappiness) and he begs Kenta to give her back to his family. I can't help wonder if despite his feelings, he acts as a true big brother figure and cares for Karin and Anju.
Anju Strangeness
editokay, about the "beyond sibling love" or whatever, i really really REALLY doubt that anju wants to make love with her sister. i know that she is really concerned about what's best for karin, but i seriously doubt that the authors of both the manga and anime scripts want her to really love karin in a sexual way. Demoncat 23:55, 22 July 2007 (UTC)
- I agree, I've deleted that, though left the ambiguous mention of her dream. Samatarou
- thank you so much!
although idont care whether anyone will use this, my interpretation of anju's dream was that she didn't view karin as a vampire, and instead wanted to push her away into the human world where she is happyest. happiest? happy-est? i dont know. anyway's i just wanted my opinion out there.--Demoncat 23:44, 25 August 2007 (UTC)
- thank you so much!
- Happiest. and in the anime she appears to begin to BITE Karin, but then wakes up, from what I interpret... suzumebachi٭secret~ ~ ~ 02:55, 16 January 2009 (UTC)
I was just reading the section on Ren, and it's full of spoilers! :( That's got to go! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.80.32.202 (talk) 21:22, 27 September 2010 (UTC)
cleanup
editI've started a cleanup, but there's a lot to do, a lot of the text looks pretty stream of consciousness and speculative, it needs whittling down, also most of the character stuff on the main page needs moving here, presently some of the entries there are almost as long as the ones here, whereas they should be stubs. I've also added Boogie as a subsection to Anju, to reflect the closeness of the two (ie. that he seems to be animated by her). Samatarou 03:15, 3 August 2007 (UTC)
Voice Actors
editShould the voice actors be in this article? R e i k a 17:56, 12 July 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, at the end of each character's section that appears in the series. -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 23:15, 4 July 2008 (UTC)
- Hopefully someone will add that. I came here looking for voice actor information on this show only to not find it. R e i k a 17:56, 12 July 2008 (UTC)
- Some voice actors are listed before the paragraph, and some are listed after. Which would make more sense? I'm personally thinking before, but considering the comment above... suzumebachi٭secret~ ~ ~ 02:58, 16 January 2009 (UTC)
- All of the voice actors should be listed at the end of each section, not at the top, as the manga is the primary work. Reformatting is still a work in progress, but feel free to move the rest down to the end and convert to the proper sentence format. -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 04:09, 16 January 2009 (UTC)

Boogie needs his own section created as a full-fledged character aside from Anju. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.80.32.202 (talk) 21:28, 27 September 2010 (UTC)
just wondering
editIn an omake at the end of chapter 16 the manga-ka compared the relationship of anju and boogie to that of Mr.Garrison and Mr.Hat from south park. Should that be put in the article? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 151.203.219.74 (talk) 19:09, 9 April 2009 (UTC)
- No. Its trivial. -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 19:30, 9 April 2009 (UTC)
Name inconsistencies
editThere are several name inconsistencies where "Maaka" is spelled "Maaka" in some places, and "Marker" in others in the "List of characters in Chibi Vampire" article. I'd like to consolidate the naming... without receiving a vandalism warning. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jay3205 (talk • contribs) 05:41, 23 April 2009 (UTC)
- That is because the names are inconsistent in the series. The adults use their European last name, Marker, while Karin and her siblings use the Japanese name Maaka. -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 13:43, 23 April 2009 (UTC)
- However, the references to the "Maaka family" should be changed to the "Marker family" as that is their true name. Only the children use the romaji. StryyderG (talk) 23:01, 22 September 2009 (UTC)
- True, unless one is talking about the kids, it should be Marker. -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 23:23, 22 September 2009 (UTC)
Blood Preferences
editI was wondering, should the blood preferences of each vampire be added to their profiles? It's not like it'd take up a lot of space, and blood preferences can be important in the storyline at times. ~Reika 麗香 06:13, 10 June 2009 (UTC)
- No. They were there before and were removed because they are primarily trivial. Only Karin's is really important to the overall storyline, and even then only barely. -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 14:07, 10 June 2009 (UTC)
Clean-up overhaul
editI'm going to be going through these one by one and totally overhauling them. They are pretty random adding too much in-universe plot at times or none at all. As well, there are several lines that don't need to be in specific character bios (edited one from Fumio earlier that was just a sentence describing Kenta). But anyway, I got Fumio down, will work on the others gradually. I will leave any anime related information as I haven't watch the whole series, and the 4 discs I do have I haven't watched in a while. As well, I may expand the lead as it is a minimal description and mentions the Novel characters while none are actually on this page. StryyderG (talk) 19:38, 23 September 2009 (UTC)
- For guidance on writing style, tone, sourcing, and content, I'd recommend looking at List of Naruto characters and List of Tokyo Mew Mew characters which are the two FL level character lists for anime/manga right now. -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 20:10, 23 September 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks, yeah, I took a look at Naruto recently, when I started working on the Host Club character list. StryyderG (talk) 22:05, 23 September 2009 (UTC)
- If you're going to rework the entire article, please include more characters from the manga, such as Sophia Pistis, who appears to have quite some significance in the final arcs of the manga. The sections characters are divided into (vampires, humans) may need to be reworked into main characters, families, school, other, etc instead, come to think of it... Sera404 (talk) 03:30, 6 October 2009 (UTC)
- I agree, Sophia should probably have a section. For organization, however, it needs to be reorganized in a proper out-of-universe fashion: protagonists, antagonists, supporting characters. -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 03:48, 6 October 2009 (UTC)
- Finally finished the manga and, yeah, I'll probably write up Sophia later today. I'm also going to go through and change a few spellings that are incorrect (the Brownlick name, the "Spring of Psyche") as per the english manga release. As well, I'd like to contest the removal of James Marker. While he does not appear alive in the time proper of the story he is featured in multiple "Bonus chapter" flashbacks, in the first Elda awakening when he is found dead, as well as at the end of the Manga as a ghost in Anju's teddy bear. He also has a large part in how the spring of psyche becomes part of the Marker family. Just my thoughts. StryyderG (talk) 19:31, 6 October 2009 (UTC)
- I can probably see readding him (when I removed him, I hadn't read the final volume yet). Also, in the English manga, I noticed the family is referred to as the Maaka family instead of the Marker family. Thoughts? -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 19:37, 6 October 2009 (UTC)
- aside from those who may only, or primarily know Karin I don't recall that. Any specific examples? For the most part I remember them being referred to as the Markers by those who know them all. Also, what about a short section for Glark? He's a pretty big character in the final 4 or 5 volumes. Do they ever mention his full name? StryyderG (talk) 19:40, 6 October 2009 (UTC)
- Was thinking of Viz's "character" list page, that refers to them as the Makaa rather than Marker family. Characters in the story call them the Marker clan. Glark needs a section in the antagonists and I think they did earlier - in the volume where he first appears. -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 21:57, 6 October 2009 (UTC)
- I'll take a look. I'm planning to go through the books and start on the volume summaries tonight, I'll see what I can find as far as these topics. StryyderG (talk) 23:49, 6 October 2009 (UTC)
- Hmm...the character list page does call them the Maakas, but nearly all the references within the story call them the Markers, hard call on that one. And I looked back but I can't find anywhere that mentions Glark's full name, I'm assuming Glark is the family name as Japanese courtesy would generally denote Henry using his last name, since he apparently isn't very close to him. Only time I see his name is as Mr. Glark or Glark san. StryyderG (talk) 17:42, 8 October 2009 (UTC)
- Well, I'm not going to get a chance to put in these tonight but I put together the ref tags for the Manga volumes. All we need to do is go through the article and add these (adding in the appropriate Chapter). Figured having these readily available for copy/paste would make it more proactive to add them. But yeah, nighttime for me. Also I'll copyedit this thing tomorrow, put the Guild of Copy Editors seal of approval on it. StryyderG (talk) 08:05, 18 October 2009 (UTC)
- Awesome, thanks. Also need the page numbers, and should be using the English volumes, not the Japanese. Made corrections and tweaks below (fixed chapter to match what's used in the book, added the pages param, added a name param since we will want to use that, etc). In all, we'll have ~63 chapter references. :-) I also got things started, putting in refs from the final vol since I had it sitting nearby. -- AnmaFinotera (talk · contribs) 16:05, 18 October 2009 (UTC)
- Basics - need to make specifics for each chapter with chapter name and page numbers; first use use full, then used named there after; see examples in list

- Ok, had a sick day yesterday and put in the manga refs. Anyone got anime refs? I've got discs 1-4 but didn't really enjoy it enough to pick up the last 2 yet. I'll try and do a major copy edit tonight. StryyderG (talk) 23:33, 20 October 2009 (UTC)
Light Novel characters? and article upgrade
editWell, I've been on and off for a few months but wanted to come back here for a bit. First order of business, the intro paragraph here states this article being about the manga/anime and light novels but it would appear we are severely lacking in information for novel-only characters. Unfortunately I haven't had time to delve into the novels so I really don't know mucha bout them, is there anyone who can add some information? As well, with the inclusion of refs and restructuring of this article, are we too far from trying to upgrade this above start class? Just wondering. StryyderG (talk) 16:53, 24 March 2010 (UTC)
