editThere are a few things in this article that just don't fit together.
- Harper Davis is said to be drafted by Bears in first round. This source says he was drafted in the 2nd a year earlier.
- Same with Billy Stone. sorebearmat (T/C) 02:38, 2 May 2009 (UTC)

editShould he be listed as a bear draft pick it reads as he was draft by Pittsburgh and than traded to Chicago or was the pick traded from Pitt to Chicago who than drafted him?Smith03 (talk) 17:48, 13 April 2010 (UTC)
- I had similar concerns. I did some research and it seems like the trade took place before the draft and before the 1938 season. This situation was similar to say us trading for Cutler in exchange for draft picks. From the sources, it sounds like we took over Ed Manske's contract before the season and before the draft. The compensation for this was the rights to Pittsburgh's draft pick. You can check the sources that I found for yourself in the footnote, but that is how I interpreted it. sorebearmat (T/C) 18:14, 23 May 2010 (UTC)
