Political Parties

I have colour-coded the holders whom the article describes as Tories. However, I suggest that, for consistency with the starred article List of Prime Ministers of the United Kingdom, this article should use the term 'Conservative' to describe holders from that party from Peel's 1834-5 premiership onwards. Also, I suggest that colour-coding and party allegiance should be recorded consistently with that article and Chancellor of the Exchequer back to the reign of Queen Anne - e.g. Joseph Addison was Chief Secretary to the Whig Lord Lieutenant Lord Wharton prior to the formation of the Tory Harley Ministry in 1710. Start-date

The article currently starts in 1660. I propose to carry it back to 1566, using the list in 'A New History of Ireland', Vol IX, PP 529-31. Alekksandr (talk) 19:47, 8 June 2015 (UTC)

The list would therefore include men like Edward Waterhouse (1566-69), Edmund Tremayne (1569-71), Edmund Molyneux (1575-80), Edmund Spenser (1580-82), Richard Cooke (1594-97), Henry Wotton (1599), Francis Mitchell (1600), George Cranmer (1600 - killed on 16 July of that year), Fynes Moryson (1600-03), Henry Piers (1605-16) and Henry Holcroft (1616-22).
