Evolution
editSo, there seems to be a bit of a fight in the edit history about where Evolution belongs. The list of episodes were originally removed, but someone came along and made this *AWFUL* writeup of episodes that doesn't conform to the style guide and looks like a shoddy list from a bad torrent site. We already have a page for the list of Evolution episodes, it's Here. So can someone make a proper section on the page that gives a quick summary of Evolution and then link to the other page? Airdates in UK + Australia/NZ
editthis is the english language wikipedia, so we should also add the airdates of the episodes in the united kingdom and australia/new zealand, right? however, i need some people from those countries to put in the dates, as i have no idea Jeremie Belpois (talk) 23:58, 31 January 2009 (UTC)
uk opnly aired to about episode 40 however i aint sure tehre is a realiable source for it--Andrewcrawford (talk) 21:16, 10 May 2009 (UTC)
All episodes (up to an including the final episode 95) have been aired in English - on the Cartoon Network - but I don't know which (was it Aus or USA or ?) Episode 95 in English has a Cartoon Network watermark in the bottom right corner. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 220.253.240.13 (talk) 23:47, 26 February 2011 (UTC)
Must have been in Australia -- in America, they skipped Episode 78, and stopped completely around 84ish. Black Yoshi (Yoshi! | Yoshi's Eggs) 14:13, 3 May 2014 (UTC)
Episode summaries
editI happened to look through the edit history and saw that Swibe removed all of the episode summaries save a few. I'm wondering what was the reasoning behind that, and can someone replace them? The show may be somewhat "obscure" in most parts of the world, as he stated in one of his edit summaries, but I see absolutely no reason to remove all of the episode summaries. Edit warring

- ...of which I was a part, and I apologize. Regarding the episode summaries, what policy is there that says each episode shouldn't have a summary? Every other list of episodes I've seen has a summary of some kind (even if that's found on the page for a certain season and not the whole list of episodes) -- why should this show be any different? Black Yoshi (Yoshi! | Yoshi's Eggs) 20:29, 12 June 2014 (UTC)
Black Yoshi, might be a good idea to look at other lists of TV show episodes, not many have summaries. - FlamingEagle — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.47.68.71 (talk) 20:35, 12 June 2014 (UTC)
- I have looked at a lot of other episode pages, and almost all of them that I have seen have the summaries. Those that don't are too long to have summaries, and so they are branched off into separate lists for each season, and each of these lists has summaries. Also, just because you find my argument invalid does not give you reason to remove my comments. Black Yoshi (Yoshi! | Yoshi's Eggs) 20:54, 12 June 2014 (UTC)
I understand there's no official rule against plot summaries, but keep in mind that Code Lyoko has 97 episodes, and a long paragraph for each is a lot of bandwidth, there is a wiki for plot summaries, but we need room on WP for more content. I've logically explained why I reverted these edits before in my edit summaries. If it wasn't an issue for Swibe to do this, it shouldn't be an issue for me to do it either. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.47.68.71 (talk) 02:28, 21 June 2014 (UTC)
- I am quite sure that Wikipedia can easily handle the bandwidth used up by this list. There may be a case for making separate articles for each season and then blanking the main list once the other lists are created with the summaries added if the main list is too long. However, the separate lists plus summaries would need to be created before the summaries are removed here. That would however be due issues of readability and loading times not a concern about bandwidth. To be perfectly clear there is no danger whatsoever of articles about important subjects not being created due to this article taking up all of Wikipedia's bandwidth.--76.65.43.92 (talk) 02:53, 21 June 2014 (UTC)
I have semi-protected to stop the edit warring. Discuss the issues here on the talk page, don't blindly revert each other. Huon (talk) 09:18, 21 June 2014 (UTC)
- IP 24.47.68.71 has been removing plot summaries from related articles--I'm not familiar with all of the nooks of this subject, but I haven't yet found the consensus that establishes the freedom to remove all the plot summaries, and maybe I'm not aware of what exactly the IP is doing. I do know WP:TVPLOT prefers that summaries be between 100-200 words or up to 350 words for complex plots. Deleting all summaries because a few users are concerned about bandwidth, is absurd. If user feels the summaries are too long, they should pare them down to a more reasonable length, or if they don't like all the summaries to be listed in the main "List of episodes" article, unique articles should be created for each season, and the user(s) can figure out how to transclude the facts they want into the main "List of episodes" article without deleting the summaries. A good example would be how the Featured Article List of SpongeBob SquarePants episodes contains only the basic information for the various episodes, while the Good Article SpongeBob SquarePants (season 1), includes more details for S1 including summaries. Full deletion is short-sighted, though. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 01:42, 19 July 2014 (UTC)
- If that is what the user did I don't think anyone would have complained since the info would not have been removed entirely. The user is currently blocked for one month so this issue should be resolved for a while. Hopefully upon their return they will drop this issue or at least consider the split suggestion which unlike the wholesale deletion plan it would be appropriate and likely uncontroversial.--67.68.162.111 (talk) 02:42, 19 July 2014 (UTC)
- The same user in question also on several occasions recently changed the main character name of the Hunger Games Trilogy from Katniss Everdeen to Fatniss Neverlean, then later changed the name to Game of Thrones (a different book series entirely). I don't think this is someone that we need to take seriously.--67.68.162.111 (talk) 03:04, 19 July 2014 (UTC)
- Point noted, thanks. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 03:15, 19 July 2014 (UTC)

US air dates
editI moved the info about US air dates to the "Broadcast" section in Code Lyoko as I have been told a while ago that the series overview table should only include air dates in the original country. It was misleading anyway, because on November 17, they did not air the final episode, but rather "Cousins Once Removed", and the rest have been released online. nyuszika7h (talk) 11:45, 25 October 2015 (UTC)
