Questions Regarding Broken Links
editHello, I am currently attempting to look at all games released for the Commodore 64 listed on Wikipedia. I have been fixing some dead/broken links as I go along, but there are many issues I am unsure about proper procedure. I have a few questions I would appreciate feedback on:
In regards to links to games that do not have articles:
-I understand that everything on Wikipedia should be cited. If I find an article about the game on the sites Moby Games, Lemon 64, or My Abandonware, does this warrant creating a Wikipedia page? If so, is there a template I can use for creating the article?
-Conversely, if my search of the game shows no results on google, should the link be deleted or tagged somehow?
If there is anything else people would like me to do as I go through the list, please let me know.RampagingCarrot (talk) 21:22, 15 June 2018 (UTC)
In lieu of knowing how to approach some of these issues, perhaps I will start listing them here:
Conundrum - According to Gamebase64, game with code featured in March 3, 1987 issue of Commodore Magazine. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rampagingcarrot (talk • contribs) 21:03, 22 June 2018 (UTC)

Corsair RampagingCarrot (talk) 22:57, 23 June 2018 (UTC)
Cosmic Crusader - The link had previously pointed to Cosmic Crusader, which as far as I was only for the IBM PC. However, I did find another game called Cosmic Crusader, which appears to be a different game (although the gameplay appears somewhat similar). RampagingCarrot (talk) 10:00, 24 June 2018 (UTC)

"Count and Add" - I could not find anything on google. This game was added by Deltasim in this revision. RampagingCarrot (talk) 14:17, 24 June 2018 (UTC) Two website links:

- Article had previously existed but was deleted by CambridgeBayWeather on August 11 2017 with reason (This is a minor game printed as a type-in listing in a magazine. There are no references to indicate it meets WP:GNG)RampagingCarrot (talk) 18:39, 25 June 2018 (UTC)

After being told about Wikidata, I added items for all of these games (if they didn't already exist). I will no longer be updating this list. RampagingCarrot (talk) 12:47, 8 July 2018 (UTC)
Unpublished Games
editI just discovered that the recently added game "Archon III: Exciter" already had its Wikipedia article deleted because the game was never published and thus is not notable. I have removed the red link but left the unlinked title in the list, as I am not sure whether unpublished games should be removed. I plan to do this for every unpublished game I encounter and list them here: RampagingCarrot (talk) 12:52, 8 July 2018 (UTC)
Archon III: Exciter RampagingCarrot (talk) 12:52, 8 July 2018 (UTC)
Games without notable publishers
editI think I will try and list all of the games where I left the publisher in the corresponding Wikidata Item blank because the publisher wasn't featured in one of our databases, along with some information about their publication. I am listing them partly because I want to keep track of these games, but also because they tend to be obscure and perhaps shouldn't be listed with the other games. RampagingCarrot (talk) 19:25, 8 July 2018 (UTC)
This list will now include all entries that I regard as questionable. RampagingCarrot (talk) 04:57, 14 January 2019 (UTC)
Archon III: Exciter - fanmade, never published RampagingCarrot (talk) 19:25, 8 July 2018 (UTC)
ARCOS - I believe this was published by a company called Kabuto Factory, but it was never sold commercially and instead put on public domain. The game was published in 2013, decades after the Commodore 64 stopped being sold. RampagingCarrot (talk) 19:25, 8 July 2018 (UTC)
Ardant - fanmade, never published, created with Shoot-'Em-Up Construction Kit(SEUCK) RampagingCarrot (talk) 10:52, 9 July 2018 (UTC)
Arena - Nothing wrong with this game, but the link in the article points to a youtube video instead of a wikipedia article. I've never seen this before - is this discouraged? If not, then should we turn the other red links to external sources? RampagingCarrot (talk) 15:04, 21 July 2018 (UTC)
Argos - public domain, created in 2015, unpublished/publisher unknown. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Rampagingcarrot (talk • contribs) 04:24, 28 July 2018 (UTC)
The Ark of Exodus - publisher and publication date unknown. I could not find any other mentions of this game.
David's Midnight Magic II - unofficial, never published. RampagingCarrot (talk) 09:55, 14 August 2018 (UTC)
DDT - publisher unknown RampagingCarrot (talk) 20:44, 15 August 2018 (UTC)
Adam Norton's Ultimate Soccer - I can find no information about this game. I added a "citation needed" tag on it. I don't know if/when I should delete the listing. RampagingCarrot (talk) 04:57, 14 January 2019 (UTC)
Jeopardy
editJeopardy wasn't listed. 2600:6C5E:4D3F:79C1:3425:AB39:2AEA:F011 (talk) 23:55, 6 June 2022 (UTC)
