Episode individual reference issue
editThere is a big issue with TBS schedule refs. Old schedule get eventually deleted by TBS (seems a 3 months windows) so i'm starting an archiving rescue.
- Ep01: Too late :( The good is that we can still use the official website start airing date as reference.

Comment: It seems that the archived pages are all screwed up but FMA place in the schedule can still recognized & the link to the anime website work. --KrebMarkt 16:51, 8 July 2009 (UTC)
Updated --KrebMarkt 16:28, 10 October 2009 (UTC) I wonder if web.archive.org is archiving them. I think they could help since the archiving is automatic.Tintor2 (talk) 12:50, 14 August 2009 (UTC)
Splitting for Brotherhood
editSince the second anime series has reached 20 episodes and it is confirmed there will be much more, I suggest to split the Brotherhood section to List of Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood episodes. Here there is a draft. On a note, it is unnecesary to mention the Brotherhood anime in this list since they are not sequels or remakes.Tintor2 (talk) 18:29, 25 August 2009 (UTC)
- Support Number of episodes + being a closer re-adaptation + more potential to FL alone. Because i'm not a MoS expert, i can tell if the list title is appropriate. --KrebMarkt 19:19, 25 August 2009 (UTC)
- Support I agree. I think the draft looks great too. ~Itzjustdrama ? C 19:28, 25 August 2009 (UTC)
- Support - Different series, both long enough to run into suggested length limits when fully baked = good reason to split. I do think, though, that the two lists should fully cross-reference each other in case a reader arrives at the wrong page. —Quasirandom (talk) 19:32, 25 August 2009 (UTC)
- Support - I figured this would happen eventually, and the sandbox version looks pretty good. However, Brotherhood still needs a mention here (in the lead and with a hatnote) for purposes of complete coverage. 「ダイノガイ千?!」? · Talk⇒Dinoguy1000 19:53, 25 August 2009 (UTC)
- Support - As long as there is a clear link to this page, a split is sensible. mike (talk) 01:28, 27 August 2009 (UTC)
- Agree. I originally meant to say not to have a section for brotherhood, but I mistook.Tintor2 (talk) 21:31, 25 August 2009 (UTC)
Episode summaries
editWith all due respect, and if you don't mind me giving my opinion, some of the episode summaries are train wrecks that can hardly be called summaries at all. Granted not everyone would feel the same way, but I find them incredibly difficult to read. A number of them contain details that aren't even relevant to the plots of the episodes. I once tried to make changes by cutting down the bulk details to make the summaries basic and short, but I was told the cuts were too "excessive." Is there a minimum/maximum number of words to make a "short summary" acceptable? Because all I was trying to do was convey "short summaries" without a complete understanding of the guidelines, and for that reason, I apologize. I also admit I didn't put links to the character list article, though this brings up another issue: I feel that information regarding the characters' backstories should be contained in that very article rather than this; otherwise there would be no need for it. If we were to compromise, I will make sure to keep the links in, but I would prefer it if the short summaries be kept "short" according to what makes "short" acceptable, rather than littering the article with inconsistent, redundant, word-for-word retellings of the whole episodes that could potentially lead readers astray. Was this not one of the reasons that this page is no longer a featured article? Immblueversion (talk) 00:29, 26 February 2010 (UTC)
- I've reverted back to the longer summaries. Although they require some tweaking, 200-300 words is perfectly acceptable. Some are more then this and so can be worked on some more, but if a lot happens, then you can justify going over. The summaries you left are far too short, and were one of the reasons the page lost its prior status. Including character information in the summaries is also perfectly fine if it's relevant to the events of the episode. By all means tweak them to be easier to read, but please don't be so heavy handed. Dandy Sephy (talk) 03:13, 26 February 2010 (UTC)
