I came to this page in search of dimensioned drawings detailing various bolt patterns of a particular GM engine (not just the bell housing). The conspicuos abscence of dimensions, leads me to think that publishing them on the web may be a violation of copyright laws. If that is so, it would be a good idea to let the reader know. Also, if there is any legitimate means to obtain them, that too would be helpfull to know.

BOP FWD pattern

edit

The Eldorado and Toronado used the BOP V8 pattern when they had a longitudinal mounted V8, but the bellhousing was smaller, requiring a slightly smaller flexplate- at least in the 1977 and later models. I don't now if the 1967-1976 transaxle required the smaller flexplate.

Iron Duke

edit

The Iron Duke was designed and manufactured by Pontiac. Although used across different GM divisions, it was not a GM 'corporate' engine, and I've never heard/read of anyone referring to it as the "GM" Iron Duke. A small detail, granted, but it is misleading, and I think should be corrected to Pontiac Iron Duke. Agree? Gtofever (talk) 21:40, 19 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
