Guggenheim-Hermitage
editThe Guggenheim-Hermitage museum really is in Las Vegas, and is in The Venetian Hotel, as was the (now closed) Guggenheim Las Vegas. - MykReeve 17:48, 22 Jan 2005 (UTC)
Guggenheims under Construction
editPlease find confirmation that all Guggenheims listed as "under construction" are in fact in the physical process of construction. The Guggenheim Foundation's wide-spanning expansion efforts have resulted in a number of proposed projects falling through, including those in Taichung, Taiwan and Rio de Jianero, Brazil. The result of the move request was: not moved. Reasonable nomination at first glance, but the consensus has shown the NY museum is not the primary topic. Jenks24 (talk) 05:14, 10 September 2015 (UTC)
- Guggenheim Museum → Guggenheim Museum (disambiguation) – This dab page should be moved to (disambiguation), as the primary topic for "Guggenheim Museum" is the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York. "Guggenheim Museum" should redirect to the New York museum. Natg 19 (talk) 19:47, 2 September 2015 (UTC)
- Why?Pincrete (talk) 21:28, 2 September 2015 (UTC)
- Oppose due to lack of WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. The New York museum has only slightly more views [1] than the Bilbao museum [2], and primary topic should be much more likely than any other topic or substantially greater enduring notability and educational value. Zarcadia (talk) 11:52, 3 September 2015 (UTC)
- Oppose. I would go far to say that the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation article could possibly be a primary topic instead, or at least a primary redirect. The foundation operates several "Guggenheim Museums" around the world, not just the one in New York City. And thus, the article on the foundation basically serves as a broad concept article for this entire worldwide chain of museums. Zzyzx11 (talk) 11:04, 4 September 2015 (UTC)

The result of the move request was: page moved. However, I am concerned that editors might link to the less specific Guggenheim Museum which redirects here, when a more specific link to one of the museums is more appropriate. "What links here" should be periodically patrolled for that, as these will no longer show up at WP:Disambiguation pages with links. – wbm1058 (talk) 21:45, 28 August 2016 (UTC)
- Guggenheim Museum → List of Guggenheim Museums – Per WP:DABCONCEPT, this is really not a collection of unrelated ambiguous topics (like "Mercury" the planet and "Mercury" the car), but a list of museums connected to the Guggenheim family. A more informative article can be created by putting this in a list format and describing the relationship between the entities. bd2412 T 14:34, 19 August 2016 (UTC)
- Support but I'd like to see a draft page before the move is executed. — JFG talk 00:03, 22 August 2016 (UTC)
- I have started a draft at Draft:List of Guggenheim Museums. bd2412 T 04:10, 22 August 2016 (UTC)
- Looks great, thanks! — JFG talk 06:29, 25 August 2016 (UTC)
- Note to the closer: if this proposal succeeds, please move Draft:List of Guggenheim Museums over the current Guggenheim Museum page (there is no overlap, so the edit history should line up seamlessly), and then restore the underlying history before finally moving the page to List of Guggenheim Museums. Cheers! bd2412 T 13:47, 24 August 2016 (UTC)
