These lists sure would benefit from the "by decade" treatment (number-one albums of the 60s, 70s, 80s, etc.). Some years there are less than 10 albums that reached number one and a list of 52 rows for so few albums is just making more out of nothing. Look at List of Billboard number-one country albums of 1991, for example, with only 4 different albums total. The entire year can be summarized with 5 rows. A good example is List of Billboard number-one alternative singles of the 1990s, allowing all the "by year" lists from 1990 to 1999 to be redirected to it.
