Missing CPU
editThere is a Celeron missing that is refered to as: "Celeron M ULV 600MHz (Zero Cache)" I believe the codename is "Shelton". It is based on the Celeron M, but obviously has no L2 cache and is at 600 MHz with 7 watt TDP. I belive it came in 600 MHz, 800 MHz and possibly 1 GHz varieties. Here is a description of the Shelton cores: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Celeron_M#Shelton . Here is an article reviewing it: http://www.theinquirer.net/en/inquirer/news/2006/06/05/celeron-m-shelton-performance-analysed —Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.119.126.153 (talk) 17:46, 8 August 2008 (UTC)
Old questions
editWhere is the "Celeron M 410" ? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.91.10.178 (talk • contribs) 17:02, 3 June 2006
How do you get "sixth-to-seventh-generation CPU"?
1:8086, 2:80186, 3:80286, 4:80386, 5:80486, 6:P1, 7-8-9:Celeron P2,P3,P4 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 218.214.148.10 (talk • contribs) 08:35, 24 October 2006
Celeron D specs
editSeems the Intel Spec page has a typo for the Celeron D 347 entry: it lists a TDP of 69.2W and a thermal spec of 86°C. However, the other 65nm C1 stepping models 352 and 356 both have a TDP of 86W and a thermal spec of 69.2°C. As such, it seems the person at Intel who input the specs for these processors switched the numbers for the 347 model, as it is not possible for the processor to have a lower TDP than the others, yet a higher thermal spec.--213.46.128.161 16:05, 31 January 2007 (UTC)
BalusC site offline
editUnfortunately, BalusC has taken his site offline (what a huge loss for the internet!) and it won't be online for some time as far as I know. His site currently only displays a 'bye' message because he's emigrating from the Netherlands to Curaçao. I guess all articles mentioning his site (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Search?search=balusc) should be updated?? RobIII 00:21, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
Section Headings
editI just noticed that the section headings seem a bit redundant. There is Desktop Processors and then under that it says Single-Core Desktop Processors and Dual-Core Desktop Processors. Is there a reason that desktop is in the headings twice or should I just get rid of that? -- Imperator3733 (talk) 23:36, 20 January 2008 (UTC)
900MHz without cache
editThere is a 900MHz x86 CPU manufactured by Intel which has no L2 cache, just 32 KiB L1 cache, and is referred to as a Celeron. I don't see it in the list. NerdyNSK (talk) 22:14, 11 September 2008 (UTC)
Celeron 450 (desktop)
editLast I read, this was 2.2 GHz, not 2.4. Anyone else? 193.215.199.34 (talk) 14:17, 17 September 2008 (UTC)
Socket M / Socket 479
editIt's confusing to use both Socket M and Socket 479 in the processor list. Shouldn't they be the same? 83.145.207.37 (talk) 10:43, 2 October 2008 (UTC)
- The name "Socket 479" is generally used to refer to the version of the socket that supported Pentium M-family products, while Socket M is used to refer to the version that supported Core Solo/Duo-family products. For extra compleixty, "Socket P" is used to refer to the version that supports Core 2-family products. Physically these are all very similar if not the same; the differences are mainly electrical. None of these three variants are compatible with each other, which is why the different names survive. — Aluvus t/c 11:02, 2 October 2008 (UTC)
rebranding of Celeron and Pentium Dual Core CPUs
editNew marketing material from Intel now refers to all Dual-Core processors simply as Celeron, they even dropped the 'M' from some of the new Celeron M models, which is hard to reflect in this table.
On a related note, how about changing the sorting to make the microarchitecture the primary key, rather than desktop/mobile? Arndbergmann (talk) 19:04, 19 April 2009 (UTC)
FMA3 in Haswell Celerons
editDo Haswell Celerons support FMA3? I am pretty sure FMA3 is part of AVX2 instruction set, so Celerons do not support it, contrary to what the article says, but I don't have any good source for that. Someone with proper source could perhaps update the article. Cmpxchg8b (talk) 17:17, 3 September 2013 (UTC)
- OK, according to this link: http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/Celeron_Dual-Core/Intel-Mobile%20Celeron%202950M.html, FMA3 is not supported in mobile Haswell Celerons. I am going to update the article. If someone has better source, please correct me. Cmpxchg8b (talk) 03:35, 5 September 2013 (UTC)
Multiple CPUs with same sSpec number?
editSL68D and SL6A2 are listed under both Northwood-128 and Willamette-128. Is that correct? --Pascal666 16:07, 6 February 2014 (UTC)
ECC support
editHaswell section says: "Embedded models support ECC memory." Actually, ALL Sandy/Ivy Bridge and later, incl Haswell, Haswell-R, etc, Celerons DO SUPPORT ECC RAM. Proof: ark.intel.com, Freenas forums, server chipset mobos compatibility lists.
Also, Celerons G1840, G1840T and G1850 are Haswell-R, not Haswell. Proof: any 1150 mobo CPU compatibility list, e.g. http://www.asrockrack.com/general/productdetail.asp?Model=E3C226D2I#CPU — Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.68.200.200 (talk) 20:55, 5 June 2016 (UTC)

Tremont template needs to be updated
editTremont-based Celeron and Pentium Silver CPUs have an L3 memory cache. Even though this is listed in the source code of the tables, the template doesn't support the l3 parameter. This needs to be fixed. I don't know how. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Technorj (talk • contribs) 16:41, 9 April 2021 (UTC)
