Just wanting to draw attention to the fact that the 109th fatality (Brian McComb) gives the date of the incident as "2 September 1975" yet lists the event as the "1974 Manx Grand Prix". This looks like it might be an error.

Added dubious tag - November 2015

edit

I have tagged the 1994 entry relating to Cliff Gobell's machine, stated as 192cc Weslake, as {{dubious}}. 192cc is wrong for Senior class, should be 351-499? The Manx Grand Prix database shows Gobell's bike as a Weslake in 1993 [1], so it's likely that 192 is the error.--Rocknrollmancer (talk) 20:32, 6 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

Bystanders and spectators

edit

In the two lists concerning bystanders and spectators, what is supposed to be the difference between the two? I can see that a person in one list is a marshall, which seems rather different, but how does the article differentiate between the two categories otherwise? I feel that at best it is a bit obscure and could do with epxlaining. In addition, why is "bystander" singular in the sublist title? It seems to read strangely. Thanks! 82.34.71.202 (talk) 06:56, 16 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

The difference between the bystanders and spectators category is due to fatal road traffic accidents occurring at the boundary of the course with a public road and fatal racing accidents to spectators occurring during a race or practice session. agljones(talk)18:14, 17 September 2017 (UTC)Reply
I still don't understand. Maybe put the distinction in the article, or just merge them. Surely a spectator is watching the race, and (implicitly) a bystander is not. Renard Migrant (talk) 10:00, 7 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

Another seemingly duplicate heading

edit

List of fatal accidents involving race officials. List of fatal accidents of race officials on public roads. These are treated as entirely separate, surely they shouldn't be. A fatal accident of race officials on public roads is surely a fatal accident involving a race official. Renard Migrant (talk) 10:02, 7 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

Olivier Lavorel incorrectly identified as latest death

Partner Cesar Chanel was actual fatality. 2607:FEA8:1C66:200:5431:1996:90D5:B409 (talk) 10:14, 3 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

List countries, not flags

edit

IMHO listing the country name instead of the flag for each fatality would let searching for a specific country instead of scrolling looking for a flag. It is also advisable for color-blind individuals who, right now, might need to click some flags to tell the nationality apart. 83.34.155.210 (talk) 06:58, 8 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

Agreed, just having flags is not particularly accessible. I'll make the change. Readro (talk) 10:48, 8 June 2023 (UTC)Reply
