Requested move
edit- The following discussion is an archived discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. The result of the move request was: No move. This is really a discussion about merging/splitting, not moving the current article. That discussion should continue below. Cúchullain t/c 21:57, 9 January 2013 (UTC)
List of Lebanese people in the Caribbean → List of Lebanese people in Curaçao – The page was moved due to an unconstructive edit by a amateur editor. Curaçao should have it's own list page due as it did before as it is a constitutional member country of the Netherlands located in the Caribbean. In part to my comprehensive list of personalities related to the Lebanese Disapora, I would like this article to be directed to it's own article page. --XLR8TION (talk) 05:08, 26 December 2012 (UTC)
- There was no move here and no need for a move now. Two pages, List of Lebanese people in Curaçao and List of Lebanese people in Haiti were merged into a List of Lebanese people in the Caribbean. The remedy is to propose a split to restore the previous pages, not a move. Alternatively, be bold and do it yourself.
- Having said that, what is the harm in merging two very short pages? There can still be separate links from the infobox. — AjaxSmack 04:22, 27 December 2012 (UTC)
- A procedural close may be appropriate here; XLR8TION is really proposing a split, not a rename. --BDD (talk) 23:11, 2 January 2013 (UTC)
- There's also List of Lebanese people in the Dominican Republic and List of Lebanese people in Puerto Rico. They should probably also be merged here. Better to have one comprehensive list than four stubby ones. --BDD (talk) 23:13, 2 January 2013 (UTC)
