Return of An Ancient Evil?
editSome dudes keep writing that Season 4 of Ninjago is called "Return of an Ancient Evil". Can someone please tell me where this came from, because it sounds like a rumor. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ultimate Mo (talk • contribs) 23:08, 29 December 2014 (UTC)
Here is an answer!!! Real. Real. Not rumor. The Anacondrai are coming back!!! — Preceding unsigned comment added by MatthewButtcheeks (talk • contribs) 19:57, 13 May 2015 (UTC)
No real description of the Lego Ninjago gameplay
editI find it a bit strange that the article has three long paragraphs about the game's premise, some content about the video game and the TV adaptation and a very generic description of the set, but the main part of the Ninjago gameplay (the "Spinjitzu") is not mentioned at all. I would have expected the article to describe the spinners, spinner accessories, etc. and how Ninjago cards influence the game. But after reading the article, one could get the impression that this is just about a bunch of standard Lego sets with an extensive backstory. Someone who actually buys a Ninjago set after reading this article will be quite surprised. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ruebezahl (talk • contribs) 13:51, 1 February 2013 (UTC)
Thanks. I'll add that when I have time! ;) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ultimate Mo (talk • contribs) 00:44, 30 December 2014 (UTC)

Product year
editLEGO Ninjago theme line is a 2011 product year. Product release shows up in different markets in stores at different times around the world. This applies to all past, present and future LEGO product themes. If you check the bottom or back of the LEGO Ninjago set you will see the small fine print 'LEGO Group ©2011 The LEGO Group'. The important information is the release year of the product or the copyright year. GoTLG (talk) 06:25, 23 May 2011 (UTC)
Keep this artical neat please, it said early 2013 for the stone army when the stone army is now, late 2012, and it said Lloyd will fight Garmadon for the final battle, when he actually fights the overlord. I fixed it for now but don't let stuff get mixed up again. 99.123.20.247 (talk) 14:02, 11 November 2012 (UTC)
Season 5 is happening!!!
editAt the end of the last episode in season 4, and evil somebody comes out of a portal and yells "Morrow!!" I think it is his name and that he will be the villain for season 5. Summary Improvement
editI've watched all of the seasons of Ninjago. Then, I decided to read this article, but the summaries seemed to be lacking lots of detail. Sometimes a summary brought up a character without even introducing it. Also, there are many spelling and grammar errors in this article.

Should Lloyd Garmadon be redirected again?
editHi! I've noticed that an article about a Lego Ninjago character, Lloyd Garmadon, redirects to this page. However, I think it would be more appropriate for it to redirect to List of Lego Ninjago characters, a dedicated list of characters from the Lego Ninjago theme (formerly a list of characters from the TV show, Lego Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu, which is closely linked to the Lego Ninjago theme.)
The redirect to the Ninjago characters page would send viewers looking for a description of Lloyd to the Ninjago characters page, which should contain as much of a description of Lloyd as is necessary (until and unless Lloyd's notability becomes such that he warrants his own article).
If anyone has any objections, please let me know. Otherwise, I will go abead with the redirect.
Thanks! Noah Kastin (talk) 04:58, 12 March 2017 (UTC)
- I have now done the redirect. Noah Kastin (talk) 04:52, 15 March 2017 (UTC)
Character redirects
editHi! I have recently encountered two Ninjago character article redirects: Lloyd Garmadon and Lord garmadon. Both redirected here when I encountered them.
I believe that Ninjago character redirects should redirect to List of Lego Ninjago characters. The logic behind it is here, generalized to all Ninjago characters.
If you find any Ninjago character article redirects, and you agree with my logic, please redirect them to List of Lego Ninjago characters. If you do not agree with my logic, please let me know here.
Unless any objections with this are voiced, I am going to do as I suggested others do to Ninjago character redirects: redirect them to List of Lego Ninjago characters. I will proceed to do this to Lord garmadon and any others I find.
Thanks! Noah Kastin (talk) 05:58, 15 March 2017 (UTC)

Lego Ninjago group deletion?
editHi! I have noticed that this page and some pages related to it (Lego Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu (plus its episode list), Lego Battles: Ninjago, Lego Ninjago: Nindroids, Lego Ninjago: Shadow of Ronin, and List of Lego Ninjago characters) may not be notable. This page seems to mainly be notable in that it is the theme that inspired the related pages that I mentioned, as well as inspiring The Lego Ninjago Movie; however, I am not sure if this makes it notable. Other than that, the pages that I mentioned (all pages mentioned here minus The Lego Ninjago Movie) seem to have at most 3 reliable sources mentioning them, where they are often only mentioned as part of a larger list. For this reason, I think that the following pages should probably be deleted:
- Lego Ninjago
- Lego Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu
- List of Lego Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu episodes
- Lego Battles: Ninjago
Lego Ninjago: NindroidsredirectedLego Ninjago: Shadow of RoninredirectedList of Lego Ninjago charactersredirected- Anything that redirects to any of the seven pages mentioned on this list
Alternatively, if the theme is actually notable but the others are not, they could all be merged into the Lego Ninjago page. Note that neither proposal covers The Lego Ninjago Movie, as that has received significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject (to quote WP:GNG).
Please let me know what you think of either proposal, perhaps in an AfD style (using Keep, Merge, Delete, Neutral, or Comment) to make it easier to see what the consensus is.
Thanks!
Noah Kastin (talk) (🖋) 01:45, 26 July 2017 (UTC)
- Given that these are all likely search terms and probably meet the WP:EXISTence bar if even in just primary sources, they should be merged to an appropriate article. To speak on the video games, Nindroids and Shadow of Ronin, are probably not notable, but do have a presence in reliable sources, while Lego Battles: Ninjago is notable.
- Nindroids: 2 reviews: NintendoLife, JeuxVideo; 1 confirmation: NintendoLife; 4 announcements: IGN, ShackNews, VG24/7, GameZone; 1 hype: NintendoLife;
- Shadow: 2 reviews: NintendoLife, Pocket Gamer UK; 1 confirmation: IGN; 2 announcements: IGN, NintendoLife; 2 hypes: IGN, HardcoreGamer
- Both Nindroids and Shadow: GameSpot mentions for both in a "top-selling-in-Australia" list
- Lego Battles: Ninjago: 9 reviews (and other supporting material elsewhere): GamesRadar, NintendoWorldReport, GamePro, Nintendo Gamer (May 2011 issue, page 68), NintendoLife, Nintendo Power (May 2011 issue, page 88), Official Nintendo Magazine UK, Wired, TechnologyTell
- Some other comments:
- The comic book series has been on the best selling graphic paperback books list at least once at NYT,[1] so other coverage likely exists that could expand this article.
- The list of Ninjago characters can likely be merged or even simply redirected here given that it is a pile of WP:NOTPLOT.
- But no, this article should remain, and I think Lego Battles is also a convincing keep. Masters of Spinjitzu probably should also remain, but I'm no expert in TV sourcing. If we do keep that, then we can merge Nindroids and Shadow to the TV series article, otherwise they should be merged here. --Izno (talk) 03:51, 26 July 2017 (UTC)
- @Izno: Thanks for the reply! This information, as well as your opinion, should be very helpful. The sources are also very useful; I didn't know that Lego Battles: Ninjago had that many sources or that there even was a comic book series.
- I'm slightly puzzled as to why Nindroids and Shadow should be merged into the TV series article, as it seems to mainly focus on the TV series and not the Ninjago theme in general. Since this article does (or at least tries to) cover anything related to Ninjago, I think that it might make more sense to merge Nindroids and Shadow into this article rather than the TV series article.
- As for the characters list, a discussion as to whether the article should exist or not and, if so, what it should contain has been in order for some time, but I have never started it due to uncertainty about whether anything related to Ninjago (not counting the movie) should exist (if the whole block of Ninjago-related articles were to be deleted, that would probably include the characters list). Talk:List of Lego Ninjago characters has more details on this. Should that be a separate discussion or part of this one?
- Thanks again for the reply!
- Noah Kastin (talk) (🖋) 23:10, 28 July 2017 (UTC)
- Noah Kastin, most conversations for merging something are generally held on the merge target's page, so here is fine. Regardless of where it is held, we should not have multiple discussions running in parallel, and if we are to have a batch discussion, here is probably best.
- The two video games that would be merged, as their article state, appear to be adaptations of the TV series. As a general rule, merging targets the nearest article of relevance. In this case, the nearer article is the TV series rather than the broader topic because the games are adaptations.
- I knew there was a comic book series because I read this article. You should try that sometime. ;)
- As for identifying the video game sources, you may want to check WP:VG/S out. It has a link to a reliable source search engine as well as a list of reliable sources. --Izno (talk) 12:08, 29 July 2017 (UTC)
- Thanks for all the helpful information, and sorry for the late reply! Noah Kastin (talk) (🖋) 00:21, 6 August 2017 (UTC)
@Izno: Thanks for redirecting List of Lego Ninjago characters into this article!
I noticed that, after the redirect, none of the information from List of Lego Ninjago characters was merged into this article or Lego Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu, which already has a very minimal characters list. I'm not quite sure what should be added to this list (if anything), so I'd like your opinion on this subject. Also, @Cyphoidbomb and Drmies: I'd like your opinions on this topic as well, as you have previously made suggestions as to what information about the Ninjago characters should exist on Wikipedia. If anyone else wants to add their opinions, they are welcome to do so.
Thanks in advance for your opinions, everyone!
Noah Kastin (talk) (🖋) 05:30, 23 September 2017 (UTC)
- @Noah Kastin: Yes, that's correct; that was one of the paths I advocated. The reason was that none of it was sourced (to a reliable source). My action is a typical one for large piles of WP:NOTPLOT information (sometimes such articles are sent to WP:AFD when someone reverts the bold action of redirecting an article--these articles are routinely deleted or redirected by community consensus). The cast and characters section seems appropriately sized for the TV series article--basically just tying voice actor to the character, since it is preferable to avoid a lot of plot information in the context of the cast list (though there are some TV editors who like putting the list in the context of the Plot section). --Izno (talk) 14:48, 23 September 2017 (UTC)
- Since all commercial videogames (the three listed atop) are all not-as-notable, I wonder if we could create a "Lego Ninjago video games" article instead of merging them with the parent article? There is plenty of information on all of them, even if not individually. Lordtobi (✉) 18:37, 23 September 2017 (UTC)
- @Lordtobi: Hmm? I pretty conclusively demonstrate above the notability of Lego Battles: Ninjago. The other two easily fit in their parent article, which is the TV series. --Izno (talk) 01:37, 25 September 2017 (UTC)
Explanation of structure of and relationship between various Ninjago articles
editHi all,
After recently having done quite a lot of touch-up work on the majority of articles relating to Lego Ninjago and it's related entities, I felt it would be useful to explain my reasoning for keeping these various articles separate, and what the subtle differences are between their intended content.
Lego Ninjago is about the Lego theme and related toy releases. This does include allusions to the well-known TV series, the recent movie release as well as the video game. However, it should not include an exhaustive explanation of the intricacies of these adaptations.
These exist on the respective pages for each. When editing, please adhere to Wikipedia's Manual of Style for such articles.
- Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Television
- Wikipedia:Television episodes
- Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Film
- Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Video games
I hope this clarifies my thinking! Do respond with any feedback suggestions for how to improve these articles further.

- Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu (TV series)
- List of Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu episodes
- The Lego Ninjago Movie
- Lego Battles: Ninjago

- I reverted your changes w.r.t. the video games, per the above discussion. --Izno (talk) 19:23, 4 October 2018 (UTC)
A note about Characters
editWould you mind refraining from adding characters that only appear in the TV series (and not in set form)? This article is intended to just be about the physical toy, and not the TV series which is based on it. Thanks, VictoriaTertiiToni (talk) 08:25, 17 August 2018 (UTC)
Bibliography section
editDoes anyone know why there is an extensive bibliography section listed here. It appears to be a list of all the published Ninjago related books. However, as this page is about the Ninjago sets, I don't see its relevance here. Any publications and media relating to Ninjago is surely more relevant to the Ninjago (TV series) than the sets. Any opinions about this is welcome. Please add any responses here. Otherwise I suggest moving the bibliography to a section in Ninjago (TV series). Thanks Fieryninja (talk) 14:12, 29 October 2020 (UTC)
New sets
editHi Fieryninja, I found this new sources [[2]] [[3]] and you can add this in the Construction toys section. Striker2020 (talk) 06:52, 3 June 2021 (UTC)
- Hi Striker2020 thanks for these updates. I will have a look and see how they can be added. With the second source I'm not sure how to use it because we haven't mentioned previous waves specifically, unless we mention it as part of the golden minifigures collection. - Hi Fieryninja, I found this new source [[4]] for the golden minifigures collection. Striker2020 (talk) 05:30, 8 June 2021 (UTC)
- Hi Striker2020 thanks for this source. I'm not sure whether we really need this one as we have already mentioned the golden minifigures. It is useful to have a single source about the entire collection but this source is based on someone's YouTube video so it's not really a reliable source. Keep up the good work though! :) Fieryninja (talk) 06:13, 8 June 2021 (UTC)

- Thanks Striker2020 for these sources. I need to have a think about how we can use these because we haven't listed individual sets unlike other Lego pages. I don't know if it would be a good idea to start mentioning individual sets because the section would get really large. I will have a look through them. I really like the last source because I was already aware of it but never thought of adding it. Thanks Fieryninja (talk) 08:34, 24 June 2021 (UTC)
- Hi Striker2020 I've had a look through the first three resources, but I'm not sure I can justify putting them in. The information is very specific to the designs of each Lego set. I thought about mentioning the minor differences between the sets and the series (e.g. the Hydro Bounty), but that is probably a bit too trivial. Thanks for sharing them though. Playsets
editStriker2020 I've been thinking that the playsets section is a bit empty, so rather than listing all the 378 sets, we could write some paragraphs about the wave announcements with sources like this [[10]], like we did with Elves. I'm going to see what I can find, and if you find anything let me know. Fieryninja (talk) 13:16, 24 June 2021 (UTC)

Side characters
editLexithepidgeon Hi there are several issues around adding additional characters to the infobox. First the infobox has to reflect the body text, so the character needs to appear in the body first. Secondly, we have a whole page dedicated to the additional side characters at List of Ninjago characters and you can see how long the list it. PIXAL cannot be described as a side character as she plays an active role as a member of the team in every episode, whereas Dareth does not. In fact he hasn't appeared much at all in the more recent series. Also, it is important to understand that this page is about the brand not the television series, so the emphasis is not on the characters but the franchise, media, product line etc. You haven't yet given a reason for adding more side characters here. Listing sets
editHi Striker2020 thanks for adding the upcoming wave for 2023. I don't think it's necessary to add every set in the wave, because it starts to read like a catalogue and the playsets section will become way too long. So for each wave I think we should just select two or three of the most notable (eg there's always a large set for each season) just to summarise that wave. Let's keep it brief because it's already been going for over ten years. Hope that makes sense. Fieryninja (talk) 21:19, 1 February 2023 (UTC)
Italics
editWhy is the title of the article italicized but the bolded words and msot of the stuff in the rest of the article not? Seems weird. GoldRomean (talk) 00:38, 21 June 2024 (UTC)
- GoldRomean It should not be italicised as per Lego Friends. I suspect this goes back to when the product line and the TV series were on the same pg before being split. Do you know how to fix it? Fieryninja (talk) 07:26, 21 June 2024 (UTC)
- I think so. A quick move should do it. If you want, I can do it but you probably can yourself. GoldRomean (talk) 13:46, 21 June 2024 (UTC)
- GoldRomean I think it best to ask for your assistance with this, as although I have viewed the page move function, I cannot see how the page is italicised. Fieryninja (talk) 18:12, 21 June 2024 (UTC)
- @Fieryninja Oh... to be honest, this is way more complicated than I thought and I have no idea how to do this... do you want me to ask at the Teahouse or Help Desk? GoldRomean (talk) 18:33, 21 June 2024 (UTC)
- @GoldRomean the title is now part italicised per Lego Star Wars. Are we happy with this solution? Fieryninja (talk) 20:35, 21 June 2024 (UTC)
- Sure, that seems alright. I’ll go fix the italicizing in the article, then. GoldRomean (talk) 01:45, 22 June 2024 (UTC)
