A column to mark deceased climbers?

edit

I think it would be helpful. Just an idea. Qwrk (talk) 21:53, 5 April 2016 (UTC)Reply

About names and summits.

edit

Sherpa's are often named for days of the week and they often use Sherpa as a last name. This makes for a lot of repeat names even from the same area (another way to dab). Be careful to check who the are really talking about. Another thing is that sometimes people say they "climbed mount everest" but perhaps only went to 8500 meters? Very impressive, but for this article we are talking about the tippy top Fotaun (talk) 14:21, 18 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

Kami Rita Sherpa (the second one)

edit

The little blurb that pops up when hovering mouse over the SECOND Kami Rita Sherpa (AC) is wrong, because it shows the same data as the FIRST Kami Rita Sherpa (AA). 2600:1700:4CA1:3C80:C84C:562B:122C:2A1C (talk) 23:01, 6 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

Elia Saikaly - correction needed I think

edit

Elia Saikaly apparently made it to the top three times. The third time this year. See this Guardian podcast, at about 2:35 from the start. Cheers --Edcolins (talk) 18:38, 4 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

The title of the article

edit

I think the article title is misleading now. Frequency means rather number of summit ascents in a period of time than overal number of ascents. Szelma W (talk) 17:21, 27 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

I agree. It should be List of multiple summiters of Mount Everest, or something suitable. Aszx5000 (talk) 21:54, 14 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

Arnold Coster

edit

Arnold Coster from the Netherlands summited Big E 3 times. Please add. Qwrk (talk) 08:23, 29 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

Venus symbol?

edit

Currently, female climbers are marked with a Venus symbol (♀) next to their names. Is this standard practice? If this information is important enough to be noted explicitly, why not a column for each climber similar to nationality? NobodyGetsOutAlive (talk) 19:50, 9 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

I agree this is archaic looking, making a new column sounds like a good idea Nayyn (talk) 19:57, 9 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
