Merger proposal
editWhile there exist over 50 articles on the individual Mr. Men books, they are all currently in breach of WP:N, by failing to demonstrate any inherent notability of their own merit. While the parent Mr. Men series is certainly notable, the individual articles all fail WP:N, WP:V and WP:FICT. The Mr. Men as individual entities have simply not received enough significant coverage in reliable secondary sources to merit existence as more than a List of... article. The articles that do exist are largely devoid of content beyond very brief plot summaries, and lists of trivia. As such, I propose the existing articles are restored to redirect status, directing users to the relevant merged content on this page. Frickative 17:44, 4 July 2008 (UTC)
- I support the merge. Yngvarr (c) 17:48, 4 July 2008 (UTC)
After having tried to work on those articles some time back, I have to agree that it was not easy to expand them with enough notable material. However the part of the articles that I was never keen on was the plot summaries. The stories are too short and I do not think the whole story should be revealed. I would prefer teasers to spoilers. I would support a merger but it might get extremely long. There is already a list on the main page. Maybe the List of can be broken up in to series such as 1971, 1972, 1978, Adam Hargreaves, Non-English for example. Libro0 (talk) 02:43, 20 July 2008 (UTC)
I strongly support the merge proposal, the articles clearly have very small notability. Vintage-master 16:35, 23 July 2008 (UTC)
I redirected them all to merged content and then included images from the origonal articles. Vintage-master 16:35, 23 July 2008 (UTC)
Image copyright problem with Image:Mr. Birthday.jpg
editThe image Image:Mr. Birthday.jpg is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check
- That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
- That this article is linked to from the image description page.

Accent of Mr. Messy in US Mr. Men Show
editIt is stated both in the character section of the Mr. Men Show article and the List of Mr. Men Characters that Mr. Messy's accent is African-American. This is a very subjective statement and implies that all African-Americans speak with the same "accent" or inflection. Unless this characterization of Mr. Messy's accent came directly from the show's producers, I recommend that this reference be altered or removed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Comicbook tattoo (talk • contribs) 22:55, 3 February 2009 (UTC)
- The entire accents section of the The Mr. Men Show is cruft and subjective. I'd endorse removal of them. Actually, they've been removed in the past, but fans repeatedly put them back (and change them, and edit war over them), which is another reason why they should be there at all. Tone and Grammar
editI have corrected two capitalisation mistakes in this article. I also changed 'a VERY Long Slide' to an 'extremely long slide'. Having seen such mistakes, I hope this article can be thoroughly checked.Kayau (talk) 02:12, 15 June 2009 (UTC)
'Mr. Messy is pink and really messy, but has a really nice smile. ' The word 'nice' is quite subjective. It might be nice to one and annoying to another. Can someone change this?Kayau (talk) 02:17, 15 June 2009 (UTC)
I have put the copyediting thing here. I hope that will attract attention.Kayau (talk) 14:48, 15 June 2009 (UTC)
Merge proposal
editA couple of days ago Kayau (talk · contribs) proposed that the Mr. Cheeky article be deleted. I object to this, because it would destroy the edit history, and for no good reason since it would have to be re-created as a redirect to this article anyway. See also a similar comment I made at Talk:Mr._Men#Merge_proposal. Soap Talk/Contributions 01:47, 20 June 2009 (UTC)
- OK, then. Kayau (talk) 04:31, 20 June 2009 (UTC)

Vandalism of Mr. Happy
editThere has been the continued changing of Mr. Happy to Mr. Gay. While this is funny, such editing dose not belong on wikipedia. i will delete it and change it back to Mr. Happy. If people are determined to edit the Mr. men list in childish ways then the article should be locked.Enos88 (talk) 19:01, 14 September 2009 (UTC)
New Character
editThere's a character named Mr. Stupid in this Mr. Men railroad safety comic right here http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20090802104420/mrmen/images/b/b5/Mr._Stupid.png can you help me add him?
Mr Beefeater
editIn the 1980s or 1990s there was a Mr Beefeater character, a tie-in used by Beefeater Restaurants in the UK. He was red and dressed in a traditional beefeater's costume. Evidence can be found from a Google search. 81.152.72.174 (talk) 20:15, 7 August 2010 (UTC)
I added this in. Kurisumasen (talk) 23:15, 7 May 2021 (UTC)

Mr. Metal
editI re-added Mr. Metal. He was a new Mr. Man created for the Mr. Man show. Voiced by Godfrey.Kurisumasen (talk) 23:20, 7 May 2021 (UTC)
Mr Spendy?
editThe section on Mr Spendy is dreadful. Does this even need to be included as it's not a "proper" Mr Men book anyway? At the very least, it needs re-writing by someone with a reasonable grasp of English. 193.113.37.7 (talk) 14:26, 14 January 2022 (UTC)
Mr. Crosspatch/M. Bagarreur
editThe original names for this character in French and Greek (Monsieur Bagarreur and O Κύριος Καβγατζής) translate literally to 'Mr. Brawler', as opposed to 'Mr. Crosspatch'. Is there a verifiable source for the name 'Mr. Crosspatch'? LookWhatYouveDoneToOurBreakfast (talk) 11:40, 17 March 2022 (UTC)
