Postseason yardage in table

edit

Does the table of all time leading rushing yards include postseason yardage? we should indicate at the top of the table if it is regular season yards only, or all rushing yards (including the yardage in the table below it of players with more than 1000 post-season yards). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:1012:B1A9:F86A:8DDB:E3CA:4A35:33BC (talk) 00:02, 21 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

Yard Amount

Is there a reason that the number 9,000 was chosen for this list? In my opinion, 10,000 makes a little more sense, and you'd only be taking off five guys to put the number at 27. Honestly, I'd rather have the number at 12,000 yards, where there would still be 14 guys listed. I mean this list is only going to be getting longer as the seasons pass, and I don't really see why we need 32 guys with a weird number like 9,000. Tell me your thoughts. I think what happened was that the list previously was of the top 30 players, but someone wanted to add Steven Jackson back when he had the 31st most rushing yards, and that person extended the list without discussing the change. I think limiting it to people with 10,000 rushing yards makes the most sense, as that is a number that is often recognized as a milestone. I wouldn't want the number at 12,000 yards, since that just seems like too short a list to me. If the list eventually gets too long with 10,000 yards as the cutoff, it could be changed in the future, but I think for now 10,000 yards would be a good cutoff.
