Typo

edit

In the 与中峰明本尺贖 entry, 尺贖 is surely a typo for 尺牘. Bendono (talk) 17:47, 11 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Thanks. It's been fixed. bamse (talk) 01:48, 12 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned references in List of National Treasures of Japan (ancient documents)

edit

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of List of National Treasures of Japan (ancient documents)'s orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "bunkacho":

  • From List of National Treasures of Japan (paintings): The Agency for Cultural Affairs (2008-11-01). "国指定文化財 データベース" (in Japanese). Database of National Cultural Properties. Retrieved 2009-04-16.
  • From National Treasures of Japan: The Agency for Cultural Affairs (2008-11-01). "国指定文化財 データベース" (in Japanese). Database of National Cultural Properties. Retrieved 2009-12-15.
  • From List of National Treasures of Japan (shrines): "国指定文化財 データベース". Database of National Cultural Properties (in Japanese). Agency for Cultural Affairs. 2008-11-01. Retrieved 2009-04-16.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 19:43, 3 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Counters as used in the bunkacho database

edit

This list according to bunkacho via Oda Mari. Copied from Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Japan:

  • 巻 (kan): rolled scrolls
  • 帖 (jō):bound books. Pages are just like today's books.
  • 冊 (satsu): bound books by fukuro-toji/袋とじ which means binding folded uncut pages in a book. So there are blank two pages between two pages outside.
  • 幅 (fuku): hanging scrolls
  • 通 (tsū): a letter written on a single sheet of paper.
  • 鋪 (ho): a map consists of sheets of paper. Sheets were glued.
  • 枚 (mai): a single sheet map

National Treasures, or national treasures?

edit

The prose of this article is highly inconsistent in capitalisation of the phrase (capitals twice, lower case three times) that it is hard to conclude whether it is an error or not to have it capitalised in the summary that is to appear on the main page in a few hours. The sentence that is paraphrased for the clause in question uses lower case, but the current proposed main page entry is capitalised. Some consistency is needed here before the article gains a high profile. Kevin McE (talk) 20:17, 4 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

I fixed them in the lead and didn't see many in the table. If Bamse is around hopefully he'll get those. Truthkeeper (talk) 20:36, 4 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
