editYet another nickname list. I included American football and Canadian football together because they are similar (Cdn football is the essentially the same as US football except it's colder, has weirder rules, and the salaries are smaller but more colourful). SigPig 02:45, 14 January 2006 (UTC)
might be copies
editi added some more nicknames that i found but i am not sure if there are any repeats of the ones that i added with the ones that are already listed.Mstare88 15:16, 4 June 2007 (UTC)
Neutrality
editRemarks like "not the '99 version." for Dan Marino or "the greatest WR in NFL history, who played for the greatest team in NFL history, the San Francisco 49ers" for Jerry Rice make this article seem rather playful.
I'd suggest removing those for the sake of clarity.
FYI proposed deletion of a related list article

Proposed mass removal of unsourced content
editThis article is a target for vandals and attacks. I intend to uphold the Core content policies by removing all unsourced content in approximately one week's time. If the nickname's notable, then it should be trivial to find a reliable source for it. DoubleBlue (talk) 22:23, 27 November 2008 (UTC)
- Well, it been more like four weeks but removed as promised. per WP:BLP, WP:V, and WP:NOR each nickname must be sourced with a <ref>source</ref>. I did keep some obvious abbreviations of team names and colour names. DoubleBlue (talk) 20:23, 19 December 2008 (UTC)

It's a list. The title of the article even says so. TFCforever (talk) |
