This page has no sources at all. Also, there is no need for each person on this page to have their own article (which are also unsourced). No notability is shown on the majority of those pages and they should be deleted unless sources are given to do so. DaffyBridge (talk) 00:34, 17 December 2011 (UTC)Reply
I have added references for some of the red-linked names. For those without references, it is because no suitable reference could be found. It may be possible to locate these names in Turkish language literature. If not, these could probably be deleted, but I do not normally delete anything unless it is misinformation or spam. I have also added a few new names of calligraphers that don't yet have articles. This could serve as a source of ideas for editors who are wanting to prepare bios of notable artists. As this list expands, the need for an alphabetical sequence is becoming more and more apparent. I propose that the major headings (centuries) be retained in spite of the difficulties associated with alloting a person to one category when their life cuts across centuries. However, I suggest that an alphabetical sequence be used to organise names within each section according to their family name. Note that Efendi is a title rather than a name, so this should be disregarded for the purpose of alphabetising names. BronHiggs (talk) 05:49, 20 September 2018 (UTC)Reply
