Sources

All of the sources here are for the 2016 season. Currently there is no way, beyond original research, to determine which scores, analyses etc... are the "best". The article needs a set of sources which combine both years worth of statistics. Without that it's not really viable as an article. Blue Square Thing (talk) 20:30, 26 February 2017 (UTC)

I have tried to simplify the code, which might help for easy code-reading and editing.

• Highlighted the values by "!" instead of bolding it
• Date "5 March 2017" was written many times, which I only mentioned once under '#Notes' section

PSL wiki-lists

A few days back I have created a page titled 'best dismissals', which User:Mar4d recently moved to 'bowling records'. Well I understand the reason that the previous title by me was not good, but there are many other bowling records too from which top 5(s) are listed in 'records and statistics' page. I think only 'bowling records' will not be a suitable title for that page, should we move it to 'best dismissal records' or 'best bowling figures in an innings (too long)' or something else?

I also have created a 'centuries list page', and I wish to add 'partnership century records' in it too. May I?

Suppose comparing with IPL pages, they have created separate page only for five-wicket hauls, and in centuries list they only have added individual batting century. Also many other details are listed in records and statistics page. So, I also want to add info as much as in IPL pages. Hope you understand my weak English, Thanks! M. I guess I moved the title so it could include all types of bowling figures. It is up to you how you want to set up the page, and name it according to the statistics. Perhaps List of Pakistan Super League records and statistics can just have a summary of bowling records, and more detailed statistics can be covered in the bowling records list? Just an idea. Be very careful creating lists of records pages. There are major issues with them with regard to policies such as WP:NOTSTATS and WP:NOTMIRROR. I have some doubts about the IPL lists for example - aren't they simply repeating listed information that we could find from CricInfo for example? The fact that they are all fro one source won't help your case either - it looks like a mirror.

Personally, at this stage in the competition's life, I think I would much prefer one records page that focuses on the truly important things - the first three that you currently have for batting and bowling and perhaps centuries added in once there have been more than two - they are already covered in the highest runs. The 6s, strike rates etc...? are arbitrary - I think that if I were to take this to AfD right now then the consensus from other people would be to delete based on there being far too many sets of numbers and nowhere near enough commentary.

WP:NOTSTATS specifically says that lists of statistics need to have context and explanation. This means that most tables need sentences to accompany them. For example, at List of Kent County Cricket Club first-class cricket records I've tried to provide context for a limited number of statistics. Yes, those stats could be found elsewhere, but the addition of the context and explanation presents them in a more constructive way.

Probably not what you were expecting, but I would urge you to think about completely gutting the main article first and sticking just with the one. I am, of course, able to help with the written English side of things. Blue Square Thing (talk) 07:11, 25 March 2017 (UTC)

@Blue Square Thing: Hope that the centuries, five-wicket hauls and hat-tricks will increase in next seasons, so I created new pages for their lists. The Kent County Cricket Club records-lists has good english sentences, which may positively affect the reader and make his attraction to it. Yes similar should be here too.

@Mar4d: Your idea about summarizing the lists in main records-lists and adding more details in separate new pages is good, like for bowling records.

But I am now confused about repetition, as guidelines too say that summarize the info on main page and give details in separate pages with little intro (english). In PSL records-lists page, are '#Highest individual score', '#Fastest centuries' and '#Best bowling figures in an innings' repeated or are they summary of new pages? As you've said there is too much repetition in IPL pages, I am more confused of thinking if we are too making mirrors from ESPNcricinfo here.
