Update
editThere's been a real avalanche of new titles recently. Some older ones are missing too, though...especially ones that: A). were never distributed outside of the Commonwealth B). published by Penguin India and C). never had a second printing. I plan to add a few. Kudos to whoever compiled the original list.198.179.227.59 (talk) 02:02, 3 September 2009 (UTC)
Please check the List of Penguin Twentieth-Century Classics before adding any recent works that are out of print. They may already be accounted for. WQUlrich (talk) 20:20, 8 September 2009 (UTC)
Colour coated series
editGreen and purple are complete or nearly so :-) Red and Yellow are barely begun.
Redundancy
editSo it seems like some foreign language titles are listed twice in the by title section. I'm not sure how many instances of this there are but for example the same work by Zola is listed as both under The Drinking Den and L'Assommoir. Should this be corrected?--Prisencolinensinainciusol (talk) 04:19, 27 September 2014 (UTC)
color code information
editFor those interested, before mid-2015, there was information in the article which organized the titles on a per-color basis that can still be reached through the history [1]. Its rather useful and doesn't exist really anywhere else easily reached. It was apparently removed because it was claimed to be "incomplete". 75.17.124.14 (talk) 19:35, 6 March 2016 (UTC)
- So I created a draft for color coding penguin classics. The draft can be found at the following link, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Penguin_Classics_By_Color_Code
- I think it would make sense to remove all books that have not been color coded from the draft wiki page as it both adds clutter to the page and is redundant. Dannyb603 (talk) 01:40, 30 November 2022 (UTC)
