Templates not showing

A screenshot showing the problem

Templates after the “Viking: Battle for Asgard" entry are broken which show up as links to the template pages itself. The HTML of the generated page shows the following comment after each omitted template: WARNING: template omitted, post-expand include size too large. Saving the page takes a long time, too (hence the monstrous time usage value in the limit report below). I suspect this is a server restriction and needs to be fixed by the server administrators at Wikimedia. As a workaround, we can split the long list into small ones, by the initials. This can speed up page rendering as well. The NewPP limit report in the generated page's source is:

NewPP limit report

Real time usage: 46.997 seconds

Preprocessor generated node count: 231753/1500000
Post‐expand include size: 2048000/2048000 bytes

This was posted over at the Village Pump, so I will copy my reply:
It is in the hidden Category:Pages where template include size is exceeded. See Wikipedia:Template limits.
And additionally:
You don't need to view the page source any more to get the limit report. When you edit a page, at the very bottom there is a selection for "Parser profiling data". Select it will show a table with all the same information.
If you don't have Preferences → Appearance → Show hidden categories enabled, you can still see the hidden categories. When editing, you will see a link at the bottom of the page such as "This page is a member of 4 hidden categories"; selecting it will show the hidden categories.

I fixed this by rewriting Template:Vgrtbl in Lua. Jackmcbarn (talk) 22:12, 21 March 2014 (UTC)

Add J-Stars Victory Vs to the list using the following formatting:

Size and load time issues

Hi All, I believe I have a way of reducing this page size and therefore speeding up load time, that will still keep all functionality, I had a minor experiment on my own sandbox, not on this page and everything seemed to work, if it is ok for me to proceed and complete a larger test to check what sort of percentage save and then to release a beta version for testing by this audience, please let me know.
Kind regards
The Original Filfi (talk) 12:36, 22 March 2014 (UTC)

Can you post a link to where you did the small test? Jackmcbarn (talk) 18:23, 22 March 2014 (UTC)
Hi Jackmcbarn, I pretty much ditched the small test immediately upon completion, I see there is significant table format edits going on at the moment, I might rest on this for a week or so and see what shakes out. However as a potential quick fix we could;
1. Remove 2 columns, so that the first release date states only the date and the next column states the area released, so that "First released-Japan-Europe-North America" changes to "First release-First release zone". This will also reduce the table size to fit the page size, a much cleaner navigation ideal. Saving 50kb or so
2. If 1 above is not suitable, remove all unreleased notation and replace with "-" only, this frees up 9b per unreleased notation. Saving only 7kb or so
I have a few other ideas which are a bit more involved and require me to do some research (PS template, linking and scripting etc.) and some beta testing before release.
Regards

please fix the script error in the line for Resident Evil 5 174.56.57.138 (talk) 21:45, 23 March 2014 (UTC)

Not done: This seems to be a bug in the server code. I'm bringing this up at the technical section of the village pump. Anon126 (talk - contribs) 00:58, 25 March 2014 (UTC)
It's fixed now (due to a software update rather than a change to the page or a template or module). Jackmcbarn (talk) 22:21, 10 April 2014 (UTC)

Please add Wolfenstein The New Order to the list

Error with extraneous text

"Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce" has extraneous text after its title "Star Wars: Battlefront I" probably a copy and past error, also the row that follows Dance Dance Revolution by omega force has no reference and as far as i can tell does not exist. Also i would be happy to make these fixes my self as well as add some other games, such as the new wolfenstein game but i cant find how to edit the page — Preceding unsigned comment added by 210.215.160.22 (talk) 01:38, 24 June 2014 (UTC)
