Crunchyroll and WWE Network

Crunchyroll is available on the PS3 and PS4 for UK and Ireland.

WWE Network is available on the PS3 and PS4 for Ireland and UK. WWE Network offically launched in the UK and Ireland on January 19, 2015, priced at £9.99 and €12.99 respectively,[1] although some customers managed to register as early as January 13[2]

I should know as I am from the UK. Basically, WWE Network and Crunchyroll ain't exclusive to North America on consoles.90.194.66.216 (talk) 13:07, 22 March 2015 (UTC)

I'm in the UK and can see 'WWE Network'. Good spot. But I cannot see 'Crunchyroll'. Can you double check? — TPX 13:32, 22 March 2015 (UTC)
Easy to check (if not beta released as part of the PlayStation MVP Program, thus would fall under NDA), by looking at the public sources : PSN Stores "PN.CH.JP-PN.CH.MIXED.JP", "STORE-MSF77008", "STORE-MSF86012" and "STORE-MSF75508" :
that should cover all 59 countries where a PSN Store is available ;) - 82.171.46.51 (talk) 18:03, 7 May 2015 (UTC)
This is good. Two more questions for you :) 1. Is it possible to view the Applications available on a single page for each country store? This could help provide a lot of missing detail to our page. 2. Did you create the above table yourself by hand, or was it copied from another wiki? — TPX 18:34, 7 May 2015 (UTC)
Ok, I can access the App page for store front MSF77008 (Americas) through a menu option, but the other stores aren't making life easy. — TPX 19:06, 7 May 2015 (UTC)
None of the regions, except Japan has a quick selection of apps in-Store. Some storefonts, as you found, have a featurepage of applications and/or in-Shop menu. Europe region in that respect falls behind, PSVita apps and PS3 apps are on a feature page but not consistant for other regions, and no PS4 listings either. The issue further is that the shop URL search part differs per language ("search" (EN), "suche" (DE), "zoeken" (NL), "pesquisar" (PT) and even "%D0%BF%D0%BE%D0%B8%D1%81%D0%BA" (RU).
The table was made by me, to make my life unified in sorting out the shops/regions, while looking into sorting out per region availability of applications of all 3 platforms as admin of psdevwiki.com. By all means use it if it is handy, that is what it is intended for - 82.171.46.51 (talk) 23:21, 7 May 2015 (UTC)
Thankyou for your help. What does the note: no apps denote?[3]TPX 17:45, 8 May 2015 (UTC)
The media/networkservices can be given with a seperate application that the user installs from the store /or/ with options built in the firmware. In this case I could only confirm there is no seperate app and didn't check the PS3 firmware options yet (and yes, there is a YLE mention in the FIN XMLs as I will prove to you below)
Additional official Content Applications are displayed by region. Either directly in the column, or in 'My Channels' preview, to instantly install.
Two XML's are downloaded by the PS3: NSXWSV-PN.P3.xx-XMB_TV_INSTALL01.xml and NSXWSV-PN.P3.xx-XMB_COLUMN_TV.xml (where xx would be replaced by the region, so in the case of Finland (FI), it would be NSXWSV-PN.P3.FI-XMB_TV_INSTALL01.xml and NSXWSV-PN.P3.FI-XMB_COLUMN_TV.xml
As you can see,, YLE is available as direct install and XMB menu item in those PS3 XMLs. Going back to the original dispute of Crunchyroll and WWE Network in IE / GB, you can also see that the latter is available in several EU countries, but Crunchyroll is not.
For the PS3, you can thus dis-/prove easily the existance of services, by combining the PlayStation Store availability per region (the nice insanely large table) and the two firmware XMLs per region (which I just explained).
Example table with QOOK TV and YLE :
PS4 and PSVita is another story, which is not documented much in detail atm :/ - 82.171.46.51 (talk) 08:54, 9 May 2015 (UTC)

PS3 in-XMB TV/Services

For convenience, I checked all regions XML's for availability of PS3 TV/Services, listed below is my small scratchpad table with my results - 82.171.46.51 (talk) 08:47, 11 May 2015 (UTC)

Good luck wikipedians! :) The table is also posted on http://www.psdevwiki.com/ps3/Online_Connections#TV.2FVideo_Services in a less bloated edition. If someone knows a way to check availability for PSP/PSVita, PS4 other than spidering the shops, please post here and/or on psdevwiki - 08:47, 11 May 2015 (UTC)

This page looks more complete now. Nice work. I have posted links to this table on foreign language wikis, to encourage overseas editors to fill in any remaining blanks. — TPX 17:56, 11 May 2015 (UTC)
What is the stance on adding other PSVita/PS3/PS4 apps that are not directly media/TV/streaming related like EyeCreate, PS2 System Data, Headset Companion App, Imaginstruments, Colors!, Augmented Reality Monument Viewer, MyNBA2K15, Visualizer, adhocParty ? - 82.171.46.51 (talk) 01:10, 12 May 2015 (UTC)
Because of the current issue of dis-/proving existance of drop-in region specific installations as described in below topic, I'll prioritise on identifying/naming those applications we can confirm in-Store. Afterall, they are still considered apps, even by Sony themselves. - 82.171.46.51 (talk) 06:39, 13 May 2015 (UTC)
Some of the Media/Services I doubt if they (still) exist, esp. when they do not have a listed XML above (e.g. : 3Player, Blockbuster, CinemaNow, edyViewer, Gamereactor, Joysound.TV Plus, Neon Alley, NFL Sunday Ticket, PlayStation Video, SEC Digital Network, TBS Seikaiisan Selection, The Playroom, UFC Fight Pass // several of them I know I have seen in-Store, just listing the nonXML ones as scratchpad and removing the ones I already checked) - 82.171.46.51 (talk) 16:31, 14 May 2015 (UTC)
I'm puzzled why some applications are not being detected via the store. According to multiple sources, Wuaki.tv was a launch app in Spain on PlayStation 4.[4] The official blog mentions it clearly and,[5] more recently, they ran a promotion for viewers who wished to unlock additional content.[6] For this reason I'm using multiple sources for verification. I think we should pause and consider improving the reference section before proceeding further. — TPX 09:44, 12 May 2015 (UTC)
That is because the Store search is a moron. It cannot search for partial keywords (TV vs TVN, TVE, TVNZ etc), special char handling (Pathé vs Pathe) and I am beginning to wonder if some of those apps are even indexed. For the PS3 we know the drop-in mechanism with XML (above table), for the PS4 something simular is used but the XML URLs currently not documented and thus unaccounted for (unless indeed checking with external sources or caught live in a proxy log). It seems we came full circle on the first topic, it is still possible that for PS4 the "Crunchyroll" service is available as [TV & Video] service, depending on your PSN account country and perhaps even GeoIP detection - 82.171.46.51 (talk) 06:39, 13 May 2015 (UTC)
Ok, there is another answer to (some of) those shop unlisted TV/Video services: XIL, full paste - removed the confirmed ones from my post above and will add the missing ones on articlepage - 82.171.46.51 (talk) 11:52, 15 May 2015 (UTC)
