Alice Sanders

edit

Alice Sanders does not appear in any of the following:

She is not on any validated source that I can find, so even though she may be listed on the Portuguese Wiki, she should be listed here as unverified, if at all. TFBCT1 (talk) 02:41, 26 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

I just copied this line from the 2007 deaths in Supercentenarian tables "65 Portugal (Azores) U.S. (CA) Alice Sanders May 12, 1897 Nov. 7, 2007 110 179 W F Filipe Prista Lucas" I only took ten seconds to find this record.Japf (talk) 13:43, 26 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

I have investigated what happened. The documents that GRG had were about a girl born "Alzira Catarina Matos". Only the death certificate confirmed that Alice Sanders and Alzira Matos were the same person, and her case could only be validated after her death. That's why she doesn't appear in other places. Incumbent

edit

I've replaced "Incumbent" in the succession box with "Current". I've been reverted, with no edit summary. Here's my view:

If there's anything in the wikipedia or wiktionary entries for "Incumbent" that suggests the use of that word in a succession box about longevity, it's exceedingly well-hidden. This is all of a piece with the deeply unencyclopedic view that old age is a contest, whose "winners," "record-holders," and "record-breakers" are inherently notable.

What's yours? David in DC (talk) 01:55, 29 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

im ok with incumbant current even to be determined so whatever to majority decides is fine with me. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Longevitydude (talkcontribs) 12:36, 29 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Proposed merge with Maria de Jesus

edit

Like every other super old person from Portugal, this bio should be merged into List of Portuguese supercentenarians so that people can see it in context per WP:NOPAGE. Legacypac (talk) 11:12, 9 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

I disagree. because Maria de Jesus was world's oldest person and oldest Portuguese ever, differ from other three people who has been merged to List of Portuguese supercentenarians#people (Maria do Couto Maia-Lopes, Alice Sanders and Maria Luíza Nunes da Silva). world's oldest person record holder usually have an article. I think there is no need to all the way merged it.--Inception2010 (talk) 10:00, 11 December 2015 (UTC) {{spasa}Reply
If she is famous for being old and from Portugal this is the perfect page for her bio. Legacypac (talk) 01:53, 30 December 2015 (UTC)Reply
