Fair use rationale for Image:Fizzwidget.jpg

edit

Image:Fizzwidget.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. BetacommandBot 18:32, 13 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

No Kerchu?

edit

I demand someone put down "Kerchu" in the species section. they play an important role in Tools of Destruction, At least more important than Amoeboids are. But I haven't found so much as the word "Kerchu" on any of the pages I've visited. Please write something. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.168.43.248 (talk) 22:09, 30 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

merging characters

edit

The consensus at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ratchet (Ratchet & Clank) was to merge Ratchet in to this article. While the discussion for Clank closed in no consensus (see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Clank), I think it's very appropriate to merge it here too. I think that reflects a compromise between the !voters in that discussion, and is consistent with other discussions on similar subject matter. Randomran (talk) 01:15, 14 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Angela isn't a Lombax?

edit

I've played both Ratchet & Clank 2 and Ratchet & Clank: Tools of Destruction. I realise that in Tools of Destruction it's explained that Ratchet is the last Lombax in the universe, but I'd like to contest the article on Angela where it says that she's not a lombax. However, having not beaten Tools of Destruction, I'm not sure whether the game formally explains Angela's race. Saying that Ratchet is the last Lombax left does seem pretty official, but Insomniac might've forgetten about Angela, or Ratchet had, which ever way you look at it. She does look like a lombax. A fan page did say that she was from a sub-species of lombax, which might explain a few things, but fan pages don't tend to be good sources. Does anyone have any reliable information?

Ace Hardlight

edit

Why don't we stop this edit war and have an actual discussion? Anyway, here are my feelings:

  1. A character's name being mentioned in a game doesn't really matter; if he was a notable figure it may be one thing, but the missions in question were even optional. I think everyone can agree that Ace was a very minor character in Going Commando.
  2. Right now a lot of this article doesn't have the sourcing that it should. Just because other things in the article are currently unsourced doesn't mean that new unsourced content can be added to the article. See WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS.
  3. Ace's mention in Going Commando is unlikely to be found in any reliable sources. Knowing this, in addition to his not being especially important in Going Commando (see point #1), I feel that the addition therefore fails the notability guideline. Material that fails this guideline is often removed or deleted.

Please take the time to think about these comments and reply here when you feel ready to respond. –Drilnoth (T • C • L) 02:14, 2 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

I fell that having this in the article helps the reader understand more of how he was a hero before he killed for fortune and fame in Deadlock. Most people probably didn't pick up on the fact he was in Locked and Loaded which is a good reason to have it. Obviously the creators of Ratchet and Clank had plans for Ace Hardlight other whys they wouldn't have mentioned him in Locked and Loaded! We know he was mentioned in Locked and Loaded so I don't see the harm in mentioning it in the article. It's worth knowing!

Trim down this article

edit

Seriously, this article is extremely long. The section on Captain Quark is larger than many articles! Also, it contains a bunch of minor characters. Ought we to cut down on the amount of information and the minor characters? There is a Ratchet and Clank Wiki for long articles on each character. Shouldn't Azimuth be in the "Antagonists" section of the article? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 63.215.28.141 (talk) 19:12, 27 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Antagonists

Shouldn't Alister Azimuth be in the "Antagonists" section? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 63.3.2.2 (talk) 21:37, 9 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

No, because Alister wasn't really an antagonist, he just had a mere meltdown. He wasn't really an antagonist. Think of Angela Cross, we fight her, she stops her ways, not really an antagonist. 173.2.168.8 (talk) 04:58, 11 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Helga as Bongquisha??

edit

Is this supposed to be Vandalism? Her name is Helga, not... Bongquisha! She's German, not African! I'll just be changing the name back.
