Zimbabwe or Rhodesia?
editShouldn't this article be titled "Flags of Zimbabwe"?
- No as these are Rhodesian flags not Zimbabwean flagsMangwanani 16:06, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
Image copyright problem with Image:President Rhodesia Flag.png
editThe image Image:President Rhodesia Flag.png is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check
- That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
- That this article is linked to from the image description page.

Merge
edit- The following discussion is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section. A summary of the conclusions reached follows.
- The result of this discussion was No Consensus. The main problem here is the proposal fails to identify a destination article. To answer Cliftonian's objection, the articles could easily be merged to "List of Rhodesian and Zimbabwean flags". I don't feel comfortable putting forth a renewed merge proposal, but if anyone else wishes to do so, drop me a line on my talk page and I'll be happy to contribute to the discussion. A definite scarcity of enthusiasm for discussion on this or the above topics.... I support the proposal as; a) there need not be two articles about the flags of a country and in fact why not combine flags of Rhodesia and flags of Zimbabwe? and; b) the choice of 1896 as a starting point is a poor one as it marks no boundary in administration or territory delineation and the BSAC flag was in use in the territory from 1890 anyway. --Sinazita (talk) 08:34, 28 August 2011 (UTC)
- Strong support: These two should have merged a long time ago. Charles Essie (talk) 23:16, 31 March 2013 (UTC)
- Weak oppose, I think it's convenient to have separate pages for the pre-1980 and post-1980 flags, and of course describing a flag as "Zimbabwean" in a pre-1980 context is not really correct, but I'm happy to go along with consensus. —Cliftonian (talk) 07:02, 1 April 2013 (UTC)
