Edit warring
editSome editors on this page are engaged in an edit war. Per WP:BRD it is now time to discuss proposed changes/revisions. If an impasse is reached, rather than continuing to edit war, please follow the processes at Wikipedia:Dispute resolution. Continuing to edit war may become disruption, which may lead to blocking, even if you are right. Thanks, Dlohcierekim (talk) 16:10, 26 October 2017 (UTC)
- @Dlohcierekim: There already has been a discussion, at Talk:Riverdale (2017 TV series)#Creating Article for Episode list. There are just some particular editors, specifically IPs, that are choosing to ignore it. -- AlexTW 16:13, 26 October 2017 (UTC)
Plot Length
editAs requested, I shortened the synopsis for Episode 58. I thought the original author did a great job, so I didn't make any substantive changes; I just tried to tighten it up. I recommend removing the "too long/excessivly detailed" flag. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 208.58.206.211 (talk) 00:03, 20 October 2019 (UTC)
- They are still way too long. — YoungForever(talk) 00:53, 20 October 2019 (UTC)
Season Draft's
editCurrently working on Draft:Riverdale (season 1), Draft:Riverdale (season 2), Draft:Riverdale (season 3), and Draft:Riverdale (season 4) if anyone would like to assist! QueerFilmNerdtalk 19:39, 28 March 2020 (UTC)
- Pinging Alex 21, YoungForever, or Brojam (since y'all are pretty consistently active on this page), do you think the page is at a point where we need season articles? The page is getting long at over 200,000 bytes. Just asking since I'll need to request a move for the draft of the first season, which is done, since I can't move it myself. QueerFilmNerdtalk 07:33, 17 April 2020 (UTC)
- Yes, so per MOS:TVSPLIT, the series is at the appropriate threshold to split when the season article drafts are ready (ie. have enough new real world content to accompany any additional split that is not simply a duplication of the main page's content). I quickly glanced over the season 1 draft and it looks good. Small thing, the cast list should include sources per MOS:TVCAST. You have most of the sources already in the casting section so it's just a matter of referencing them in the cast list and then finding sources for the remaining ones. After that is done and if there are no objections from other editors, then you can ping me and I'll move it to the mainspace for you. Oh and maybe expand the critical response section too. - Brojam (talk) 20:49, 18 April 2020 (UTC)
- Alright thanks! I should have that finished by tonight or tomorrow. I also plan to add the season 1 soundtrack, I just don't know where to place it! As well, I believe that we should perhaps look at the Archie-verse template at the bottom, it's going to start to get crowded. Do you think we have enough content to split Riverdale (and its associated shows) into a separate template? QueerFilmNerdtalk 21:04, 18 April 2020 (UTC)
- Perfect. You can put the music stuff at the end of the production section (similar to The Flash (season 1)). When all the season articles are moved to the mainspace, then I think it would be a good idea to create a separate template. I've started a draft Draft:Template:Riverdale. - Brojam (talk) 21:50, 18 April 2020 (UTC)

- I agree with Brojam. I have no objection on moving season 1 to the mainspace. — YoungForever(talk) 02:48, 22 April 2020 (UTC)

Brojam, Season 1 is ready to be moved! Added a better critical response section, moved the music over (so that'll need to be removed from the main page), as well as sourced almost all of the cast. The only ones I was unable to find were a handful of guest actors, but I can take another stab at looking for them again, or maybe someone can find something that I didn't! In the next couples weeks, I should get season 2 finished. Edit: The only thing I don't know how to sort out is a photo for the infobox, photos and copyright are something I'm pretty rough about sadly! QueerFilmNerdtalk 03:56, 24 April 2020 (UTC)

Season 4 Episode Count
editI'm curious if we should leave the total for season four as nineteen episodes in the overview box. I know Ted has mentioned the season is ending with that, but as he later confirmed he is unsure of how WB will handle everything and how the CW will air everything. I'm not so sure we should take his words (where I think he spoke loosely) as bible. The CW has been referring to the last aired episode this spring as the "spring finale" (not season finale); so Riverdale wouldn't be having a season finale at episode 19 this season like indicated by the episode count on the series overview. I am thinking we should wait and see how things play out. Let's see if the CW refers to 419 as the season finale in the press release or in the promo, if they don't then can we really classify the season as over with 419? Thanks for the civil discussion in advance and all be well!--Jonathan Joseph (talk) 18:07, 21 April 2020 (UTC)
- I wasn't aware that he tweeted another statement out. The three possibilities I think are: leave at 19, leave at 22, or leave blank (TBA) until we get official word. I say we keep it at TBA until episode 19 is released and we can see if they promote it as a season finale (i.e. like The CW did with their other show, Nancy Drew, they ended up abruptly ending their season and all their promo material w/interviews was calling it a season finale). That's just my opinion since its uncertain right now! QueerFilmNerdtalk 18:33, 21 April 2020 (UTC)
- Agreed. - Brojam (talk) 19:03, 21 April 2020 (UTC)
- I also agree. This makes a lot of sense to leave it as "TBA", especially considering Nancy Drew may be harder to resume due to the CGI. And yeah we can see about making a proper placement come 419 promo materials. Sounds like a good plan to me!--Jonathan Joseph (talk) 19:25, 21 April 2020 (UTC)
- I concur that the # of episodes and a season end date should be TBA for now until it has been officially confirmed. — YoungForever(talk) 20:09, 21 April 2020 (UTC)
- Agreed. - Brojam (talk) 19:03, 21 April 2020 (UTC)
- Season finale. -- /Alex/21 23:13, 23 April 2020 (UTC)
Summary
editThe episode summaries need to be restored. Kenixkil (talk) 18:49, 28 August 2023 (UTC)
- @Kenixkil Then be bold and do so, but only if they are less than 200 words, per MOS:TVPLOT. -- Alex_21 TALK 20:51, 28 August 2023 (UTC)
