I am not sure if the current format is the best way to organise things. Do people think it would be better to split the page into past/present sections? Or perhaps just a straight list of all the engines is better? Or does it need information like the dates of production? Bobbis 23:08, 11 August 2005 (UTC)
- Thanks for putting this up. The present format is imperfect, but most of the alternatives would also be problematic. Perhaps ordering them by type instead of by usage would make it a little simpler, and eliminate duplication (eg. piston/jet/turbofan/turboshaft/turbine etc. - this way (eg) the Spey would not need to be listed multiple times; the Merlin was also used in a tank IIRC). - Just to support the above comments, just tried to edit the page the sub-headings confused me ! (what is a tactical market? and does that include the Fokker F28 !!). Like to suggest we break the aircraft bit up by engine type piston/turboprop/turboshaft - any comments from watchers MilborneOne 22:07, 26 March 2006 (UTC)
