Accuracy of future episodes
With reference to the accuracy of yet-to-air episodes, please do not post the guests, landmark, teams, and results unless you are able to provide an accurate source to cite from. Until it is aired, please either leave it blank or put "TBA". All uncited information for episodes that have not yet aired will be removed. Thank you. Aman329 (talk) 17:08, 19 December 2010 (UTC)
Vandalism by Runninmanofficial
Is there any way we can proactively prevent this user from posting his/her wildly inaccurate, outright false information on this page, or must we just remain vigilant? Mikejonas (talk) 16:50, 1 August 2011 (UTC)
- I've tried reporting to an admin and tried getting the page protected but they don't seem to care, or find it to be "vandalism" because a lot of the info isn't "sourced", which is why I put all of those references for guests and locations. All the other stuff is from the broadcast itself so it's hard to reference. But thanks Mikejonas for keeping an nose on the page. Aman320 (talk) 02:34, 2 August 2011 (UTC)
Heo Young Saen
Two recent edits (445596779 and 445856651) have Heo Young Saeng listed as a "guest" for Episode 42. While he was reportedly initially scheduled as a guest, I believe that his reduced level of participation in the episode (as a result of an injury he sustained before production) disqualifies him from being listed as a guest in the entry.
Obviously there are no official rules written down somewhere regarding who's considered a guest and who isn't, but for the sake of consistency some sort of set of standards ought to be established, the most apparent of which is that "guests" compete alongside the Running Man regulars, throughout the episode; in other words, they ought to be one of the winners or losers at the end. Also, guests tend to be formally recognized as such at some point during the episode, usually in a gathering of all the regulars and guests. This is what appears to (and should) distinguish a guest from a mere "special appearance" as in the case of Lee Joon-Ik in Episode 26, Shin Seung-Hwan in Episode 44, the authors in Episode 47, or other instances where celebrities briefly appeared on the show by coincidence or design (as facilitators in a game). I welcome any counter-arguments from other contributors. Mikejonas (talk) 23:01, 20 August 2011 (UTC)
On subdividing the episode list by year
While personally, I'm fine with going either way (keeping the main episode list whole or subdividing it by year), I would defer to Aman329's wish to subdivide the list for two reasons: 1) he's the primary contributor/updater of the page, and 2) this would make the page more congruent to its Hangul counterpart. Mikejonas (talk) 23:01, 3 January 2012 (UTC)
- Thank you Mikejonas. Originally, I chose not to follow the Korean Running Man article, however it seemed to make sense to divide it by year because as the list got longer, it helped to organize it and would make it somewhat easier for people to search through it (by year). However, this isn't "my" page so if others feel that isn't the way to go, then by all means they can edit it as they wish. Changing it to every 20 episodes doesn't seem like a good way of dividing the list. After observing other "lists of episodes" articles, most of them are divided by years or seasons. Since Running Man doesn't have seasons, it only made sense to divide it by year. Like I said, I would not have done this, but the list is growing and hopefully will continue to for years to come. Aman329 (talk) 05:36, 5 January 2012 (UTC)
- I will not change it but it seems pretty out of proportion (e.g 2010 has episode 1-23 while 2011 has 50 over episodes. I prefer the old way, or divide it into every 20~30 episodes for each group. Maybe we should just forget about this. Aquadeias Σ 09:32, 5 January 2019 (UTC)
- Well that disproportion is inevident for 2010 since Running Man began in the middle of the year. However, future years will all have around 52 episodes. I do not see a problem with it being "out of proportion". Dividing the list will also help with editing, as contributors can just edit the corresponding year's sub-section, which can help simplify the process since they do not have to go through large amounts of code. Just my two cents. I do appreciate your input though Aquadeias. Aman329 (talk) 02:56, 6 January 2012 (UTC)
Location of Episode 89
The location shown in the episode is definitely a closer match for Ilchulland (www.ilchulland.com) than it is to Soingook Theme Park. The park map seen on the episode matches the map on the park's website, and Ilchulland has the underground cavern seen on the show. From what I can tell, Soingook Theme Park (www.soingook.com) is a "miniature world landmarks" theme park similar to Aiins World in Bucheon. Mikejonas (talk) 03:39, 9 April 2012 (UTC)
- Oh okay, gotcha. Honestly, I was just guessing the location since it wasn't clear and that was closest to the location from the previous day. Sorry about that. Aman329 (talk) 20:52, 15 April 2012 (UTC)
Guests for the recent episodes (93 and 95)
As stated above in the Heo Young Saeng section by Mikejonas, "guests" are those who compete alongside the Running Man regulars, throughout the episode, and be the winners or losers at the end.
If we stick with this rule, the 5 idols in episode 93 can only be classified as "special appearance" instead of "guests", although they also appeared in the next episode which the content are not linked with each other. Another questionable episode is the 95th. From my understanding, Park Ji Sung should be the only guest as the 8 idols from MBLAQ and SISTAR took part in one mission separately but not throughout the whole episode. Wrcmy (talk) 13:27, 20 May 2012 (UTC)
- I would argue that for episode 93, the "guests" were definitely not guests as they were only there to help with a mission. But, they did vote for who they wanted to win and therefore helped influence the outcome of the race. The fact that the winner of that race would decide the couples for the next race shows how it is somewhat linked together, although they are different themes. That is why I have linked it together with episode 94. For episode 95, the Sistar and MBLAQ members also participated in missions, and although they could not technically win the race, they could make the Running Man members lose. Compared to Heo Young-saeng's appearance, which was strictly delivering a mission, these guests although did not directly compete in the race, they did contribue to the outcome. Technically, Park Ji-sung would not be considered a guest for episode 95 either as he only delivered missions this episode. As the format of the show has constantly been changing, roles of guests have evolved as well. They may not necessarily be competing throughout the episode. Therefore, special guests who only help deliver instructions and missions would be considered as special appearances, but otherwise, if they participate in a mission and can make the members lose, we should consider them as guests and make notes of that on the list. 202.152.202.104 (talk) 12:43, 27 July 2013 (UTC)== Confusion on Ep96-97/98 ==
From my perspective of view, Episode 96 seems to be a special episode of Park Ji-sung V Running Man, but episode 96 is stated as the recent filming in which IU and Park Ji-sung participated in. The Running Man crew has also stated that they will film at Thailand on 22 May and 23 May. Therefore, I'm confused on which episode is which currently. It should be a four-episode special, instead of 3. But, 2 of the parts could be put together as a episode. So i need someone to help me clear my doubt. Thank You. Aquadeias Σ 11:10, 22 May 2012 (UTC)
- From what I've heard, Episode 96 is the Superpowers Soccer and Incheon filming with IU. The race that took place on May 22 in Thailand will air in the third week (episode 97). The filming on May 23 is specifically for the Asian Dream Cup in which the winning member of the race will participate in. This will most likely air as a small part in the later half of episode 97. It is definitely not going to be a four episode special, that is way too long for a special. There were also reports of Yu Jae-suk not attending the filming in Thailand due to schedule conflicts (he arrived in Thailand but shortly left afterwards to record Come to Play). Seeing how the main host was absent, it would be weird for them to air two episodes without him, even if they have Park Ji-sung acting as the main host. But these are just my speculations, hope it helps. Aman329 (talk) 16:57, 22 May 2012 (UTC)
Hiding spoilers
Is it possible to hide the episode results (winners) to be hidden by a spoiler tag?
Dashed (talk) 03:31, 4 September 2013 (UTC)
- It could, just like how it is done on the Chinese Wiki page by applying the hidden tag to it. However, there would be a lot to add/change, and I don't know if it's necessary to hide the results. Aman329 (talk) 23:32, 6 September 2013 (UTC)

Please Add Park Bo Young to episode 118 as another Guest. I am watching the show right now and was confused as to why she did not appear on the list. I was checking how many times she has been on Running Man, but you excluded the one on episode 118. Thanks. Buapakz (talk) 15:21, 19 March 2014 (UTC)

Hello, can i get a grant to access this page? It's because i've contributed sincerely quite a lot for this article and keep it updated about the future episodes of it and also find a reference source news from South Korea itself. You can check it on the history for my edits and also i don't put unnecessary additions to the page itself. And it was my bad for edit warring with 175.136.190.247 as I got really infuriated with his/her edits as the page was simply untouched and quiet until it was vandalized unexpectedly. You may ask Sherynregis also as he/she agrees with me. I am sorry for violating the 3RR rule as I was not aware and I'll not do it again. - RiiddFarid (talk) 12:24, 29 March 2015 (UTC)
Citation for coming Episode 251
There's no citation for the guests in the coming Episode 251 yet, but there's a preview video which is geographically restricted to some countries (I had to..... well, use US VPN) on SBS Running Man Official Youtube Channel, which I think can be used as the reference. Not sure allowed or not, and I don’t know the formal format to cite a video as well, anyone here knows? Thanks. Edward (talk) 09:13, 10 June 2015 (UTC)
A note to PCRs
FYI, the details about the landmarks, teams, missions and results are available on broadcast, and most of them are not sourceable. I know that this doesn't go with WP's policy, but I think it'll be best for PCRs to AGF all edits and only revert obvious vandalism edits. If you can't get yourself to AGF all edits, perhaps AGF some editors' edits then. Current active editors like me, Gayviewmahat and RiiddFarid are worth to be AGF-ed of, whenever we edit on a pending review revision, even though it may be unsourced, it should most likely be constructive and generally can be accepted. Please don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to say that PCRs must accept our edits in all cases, I'm merely just asking for flexibility especially when reviewing unsourceable edits, as the only thing that is currently sourceable is the guests list. Just my 2 cents, thank you. – Edward (talk • contribs) 08:44, 23 September 2015 (UTC)
Episode 281
There was a guest as host Ji Yeon. Im not understanding why she was snubbed as a guest as she is definitely not a cast member. Im also not sure how to edit the table and dont want to attempt in case i mess up the boxes and cause more work for some one else but i feel Ji Yeon needs to be credited as a Guest. :D — Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.114.162.24 (talk) 06:26, 16 January 2016 (UTC)
- The definition of guest for this show is someone who has a theoretical chance of winning the game. (Some games by design are un-winnable.) There have been people, both celebrities and non-celebrities, who have appeared on the show to assist the cast and guests in completing a mission or prevent them from completing a mission. The celebrities are usually mentioned in notes as a 'special appearance'.
- This particular appearance comes close to the line. Lim Ji-yeon appeared throughout the entire episode, she participated in multiple games as a substitute player, and she was given the prize at the end of episode, but she had no chance of winning the game.
- I do not think there is any animus against this actress. I enjoyed this episode and her participation in it. NYDirk (talk) 17:25, 17 January 2016 (UTC)
Font size, MOS Problem & Splitting of Article
This article breaches MOS:FONTSIZE: "Reduced font sizes should be used sparingly. Avoid using smaller font sizes in elements that already use a smaller font size, such as infoboxes, navboxes and reference sections. In no case should the resulting font size drop below 85% of the page fontsize (or 11px)."
There are multiple places where <small>...</small>
is used inside an element that already has its fontsize reduced to 90%. This results in a font which is 76.5% of the page fontsize and is frankly unreadable for many older readers and those with visual impairment. Either the 'small' tags need to be removed or the change of fontsize to 90% needs to be restored to 100%. --RexxS (talk) 15:06, 13 February 2016 (UTC)
There is a further breach of MOS by the use of {{hidden}}. The documentation clearly states "Do not use this template to hide content in articles. This violates the WP:Manual of Style § Scrolling lists and collapsible content and WP:Accessibility guidelines. This template is intended for use in pages in namespaces other than the article namespace.
"
The misused templates need to be removed. --RexxS (talk) 15:19, 13 February 2016 (UTC)
Yet another problem: WP:Manual of Style § Scrolling lists and collapsible content states: "Scrolling lists, and boxes that toggle text display between hide and show, should not conceal article content, including reference lists, tables or lists of article content, image galleries, and image captions.
" This article uses scrolling to conceal most of the references, so I'll remove that. In addition, fixing the number of columns in {{reflist}} is deprecated as it doesn't cater for narrow or wide screens. --RexxS (talk) 16:01, 13 February 2016 (UTC)
- I have added the very very long long to read template box as the article is now very hard to read or navigate making the users (visitor) go blur blur Paper9oll | Talk:(Paper9oll) 16:04, 13 February 2016 (UTC)
- Thank you. I agree that some splitting of content would be sensible in a list article as large as this (296kB of Wikitext). A single webpage is unlikely to be the best way of documenting 287 episodes along with 173 notes and 271 references. The table of contents should help with some of the navigation issues, but the reader will still be faced with a lot of scrolling in any case. The guidance for splitting an article is at Wikipedia:Splitting. --RexxS (talk) 16:32, 13 February 2016 (UTC)

Need help regarding reverting back editing by User: Afandymuslim
I realised that Afandymuslim just remove some of the exactly mission detail on Episode 303/ 304 and Episode 309 (Refer edit no: 731466364/ 23:08, 25 July 2016) and change to (Defeat the other team). Do I need to revert back to last editing by Gayviewmahat or reeidit it back (as Afandymuslim did some adding team detail on Episode 300/301 (Edit no:731469827/ 23:33, 25 July 2016) or leave it just like that? Thanks

Column width for guests and teams
This needs to be solved right away. For a while I have been suggesting that the column width for guests need to be reduced to give space for the team column. This is because the team column contains the most words, especially when they are split into pairs [see ep. 343, 344]. Some of you have agreed to this and accepted my edit. But, this guy Gayviewmahat have been undoing it without giving any explanation. So, I want to open a discussion. This guy keep insisting that the guest column needs to be 175px, but I find that to be unnecessarily too wide and 130px is enough. The rest is given to the team column as I mentioned in the beginning. 31.205.87.169 (talk) 16:51, 29 May 2017 (UTC)
