Proposed simplification

edit

I think this page is getting overly detailed and is becoming too cluttered and tedious to maintain. Anyone have thoughts on a simplified table that is easier to maintain (dropping all the streets the route uses). I made a sample table with a few routes I think would be more efficient with more relevant information but I would be interested to know other people's opnions.

My suggestions: the icon column has to go per MOS:TOOMANY, the termini can be simplified by removing the arrows, and the length isn't necessary (and needs a citation). SounderBruce 04:39, 17 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for the feedback, @SounderBruce. I agree and taking out the length will actually be a blessing time-wise. Since "service level" is variable by agency, would you recommend adding a description or legend? I'll get working on putting this together and post a draft here first. Thanks again for your help! It might be best to leave it out entirely per WP:NOTGUIDE. The notable levels could be explained in prose (by pointing out ranges for each type) as long as they are covered in a separate reliable source. SounderBruce 05:02, 22 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
That makes sense. Thanks for the clarification. JT Ramsey (talk) 16:43, 22 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
I like the inclusion of the line icons as STA uses the circle icons and single digit route numbers to denote their High Performance Transit routes, but I don't like how each line will then require an icon PNG - thats just too many images. YeSpud (talk) 23:00, 2 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
