Wikiquote
I've noticed that some of the SpongeBob episode articles have quotes in them. Why not put those quotes at the SpongeBob SquarePants articles at Wikiquote? Squirepants101 01:10, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
Driven To Tears / Rule Of The Dumb?
I've get info about a new episodes, but I don't sure if they real...
source:
1.[1]
2.[2]
Can you provide better sources than those, besides a forum and a German website because the forum does not give an exact link to prove whether this episode is real or not. The forum also claims that this episode aired in Germany. Squirepants101 23:40, 22 October 2006 (UTC)
A New Leaf
I found a source about SpongeBob (character), and it was copied from our article, SpongeBob SquarePants (character). In the "Other Trivia" part, it said "In the upcoming episode, A New Leaf, SpongeBob is a great DiskJockey. Maybe I should add A New Leaf to this article. Here's the source:
That's obviously the same thing as New Leaf and SpongeBob was a DJ in New Leaf. Squirepants101 00:45, 20 October 2006 (UTC)
Confused
I thought no one was supposed to recreate The Best Day Ever article (see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The Best Day Ever) until they recieve more info, but someone recreated it and linked it to TV.com (not a realible source of information because its episode guide had fake episodes months ago like Uncle Sherm's Visit). Then an adminstrator awarded the user who created it with a barnstar. What's going on?! Also, the article claims that The Best Day Ever song will be sung in this episode? Is that true (if it's true, provide me with some evidence, like a commercial)? Squirepants101 00:33, 20 October 2006 (UTC)
I removed the content you were talking about (even though I put it there.) I got that information from TV.com and somtimes there is fake information there.--Iswatch19 03:34, 20 October 2006 (UTC)
Never mind, I saw a commercial for this episode today and SpongeBob was singing The Best Day Ever. Squirepants101 01:31, 21 October 2006 (UTC)
Season 4
I found info about season four episodes and the only upcoming ones are: "Bummer Vacation", "Wigstruck", "That's No Lady" and "The Best Day Ever".
New SpongeBob Episodes!!!
Patrick has the hunch that SpongeBob just fails the exams because Mrs Puff manipulates his tests. To find out if it's true, Patrick goes on his own to the boating exam.
Because Patrick's Ancestors were adlings. And also Patrick is the legal king of Bikini Bottom! And now he reigns/misrules BB.
- Burn To Be Wild
SpongeBob heard, a very bad rock-gang is coming to bb. now he want to warn the other people in bb but of no avail... Mr. Krabs even wants to host them in the kk...
- Best Frenemies
A new soft drink is so much popular that Mr. Krabs and Plankton have to fear about their restaurants. Now they work together for find out the secret of the soft drink.
Those episodes are REAL FOR SURE!!!
New Episodes in Germany
If you check out German Nickelodeon's website, you can see new episodes that haven't aired in the United States yet (in German), including one involving Patrick driving a boat (Eine Träine im Schlagloch), Patricia, and Königlicher Quatsch (using Google translator, this episode translates into Royal Rubbish and if you watch the episode in German, you can probably tell it involves Patrick discovering that he is royality). Squirepants101 14:39, 28 October 2006 (UTC)
Although these are real episodes, please do not add them to the episode list, until their English titles are revealed. Squirepants101 15:07, 28 October 2006 (UTC)
It turns out that these episodes are the German versions of Driven to Tears, Rule of the Dumb, and That's No Lady. Squirepants101 18:00, 28 October 2006 (UTC)
Um, you know, I think that when the episodes actualy air, I don't think that there's no reason to watch it in German anymore. Do you think that? Zany zacky 14:22, 30 December 2006 (UTC)
Hey, I am a German, and here in Germany aired the episodes 74-88 before they aired in the USA. And I know the English names, too. "To Love A Patty" (the episode together with "Breath of Squidward"), "Money talks", "SpongeBob Vs. Krabby Gadget" and "Slimy Dancing". Can I add them? --85.180.207.243 05:40, 13 May 2007 (UTC)
Help me with these episodes!
Can you tell me how to watch them? They won't load for some reason.--Patrickrox11 15:09, 28 October 2006 (UTC)Patrickrox11
Burn to Be Wild/Best Frenemies
I am going to add these new episodes:Burn to Be Wild/Best Frenemies. They are definetly real because they are on the German website [8].If you have any comments or questions, send me a message. --Patrickrox11 15:44, 29 October 2006 (UTC)Patrickrox11
- There is another new episode announced for 12th December 2006 on the German website of NICK [9]: "The Pink Purloiner"/"Squid Wood". -- Wrzlbrnft 15:01, 12 November 2006 (UTC)
Title Cards
You know i realized that you have almost all the title cards for the SpongeBob SquarePants episodes and i was thinking that maybe i could put them on the list. I already finished doing that for season 1. I think it's a good idea. OK that's it. So a are you going to leave now? OK bye. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Zany zacky (talk • contribs)
Um... If you didn't notice, you put some of the title cards in the airdate section. --MacintoshApple 22:34, 4 November 2006 (UTC)
Episode List
Should the episodes be in airdate order or production order?
Originally they were ordered by production since thats how they look on the DVD.
The episodes are now ordered by airdate, is that ok?
Prenthesis around the years
There should not be parenthesis around the years on the episode lists. Other series have the season followed by : and then the year. It should look like this Season 1: 1999-2000 not like this Season 1 (1999-2000).

Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy VII
Is Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy VII a real episode? If it is, can anyone please tell me where you got it from?--Patrickrox11 23:32, 4 November 2006 (UTC)Patrickrox11
Obsession,Uncle Sherm's Visit,DJ Patrick
Since we have added Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy VII, I think it would be nessecary to add DJ Patrick(definetly real), Uncle Sherm's Visit(probably real), and Obsession(maybe real). Obsession is probably real because I read that All That Glitters was supposed to be Obsession and they needed it for a new episode. So, don't delete these episodes when you see them.--Patrickrox11 01:29, 11 November 2006 (UTC)Parickrox11
Yeah, we should add them because they say it's real in most forums. --MacintoshApple 06:17, 8 November 2006 (UTC)
I don't think DJ Patrick and Uncle Sherm's Visit are real. They were added to the tv.com list of episodes because someone in their forums made a topic where he/she made up a lot of episodes for fun. But apparently someone thought they were real so put it in the list (on tv.com)
They can be added now but once Season 4 Volume 2 comes out the real episodes will be revealed.
We really can't add that episode because it's not real. If they are real give a source. And if the source is a forum, it's not that much proof. --Reeler 04:22, 2 December 2006 (UTC)
Uncle Sherm's visit is definitely real. See http://sponge-info.de/ .
The Best Day Ever
Ok, It seems that The Best Day Ever is 15 minutes long so there will be another new 15 episode that will air along side it once it airs.
Can I add the other episode slot since The Best Day Ever is really half of an episode?
Yeah, I think we should. I heard that there may be a second part to it called "Gift of Gum." I agree and I think it would good to.--Patrickrox11 18:51, 11 November 2006 (UTC)Patrickrox11
real episodes
Born to be wild and best frenemies are real episodes. check out the german website, they have the whole episode (in german) on the site. :| 74.130.7.136 21:29, 12 November 2006 (UTC)
TVwiki?
I see a lot more episodes on TVwiki than here...[10] ''[[User:Kitia|Kitia]] 22:14, 15 November 2006 (UTC)
They are definetaly fake. Some people obviously vandilized the whole page, so someone is going to have to use VandalProof. And this stuff looks older anyway. They still haven't posted any true episodes after Dunces and Dragons. And they say SpongeBob has an eighth season confirmed and they have episodes that if they are real, they are probably still on the drawing board.
DJ Patrick/Uncle Sherm's Visit
These episodes ARE real. I'll give you a link and see what you think and then I'll post them.[11] [12]--Patrickrox11 22:15, 16 November 2006 (UTC)Patrickrox11
You can explore that forum,too.--Patrickrox11 22:14, 16 November 2006 (UTC)Patrickrox11

- NOT REAL!!!!! --66.233.247.12 18:28, 18 November 2006 (UTC)
- I agree with the IP address on this one. I've read over at TV.com that DJ Patrick is supposed to be a made-up episode that someone submitted on the episode list. It had something to do with payback and the former editor of the guide on TV.com. The person who made up DJ Patrick admitted it himself. Squirepants101 20:13, 18 November 2006 (UTC)
- I agree with Patrickrox11. If you check out the Sponge Info.de episode list you can see the list says that DJ Patrick, and Uncle Sherm's Visit is real!!!! But, DJ Patrick doesn't exsist anymore. AND they put the deleted template on Uncle Sherm's Visit. But luckily, Uncle Sherm's Visit WILL be undeleted!!! And maybe the're not going to bring the page back until it actually aired on television. I can re-create DJ Patrick but we're going have to wait for the administrators to bring back Uncle Sherm's Visit. Zany zacky (talk • contribs)

Episode List
I have changed the episode list a bit because Wigstruck airs with Bummer Vacation and Squidtastic Voyage airs with That's No Lady.
I'd like to tell you that Bummer Vacation airs first and Wigstruck airs second. Zany zacky 16:30, 17 December 2006 (UTC) (talk • contribs)
Storyboards
There are many episodes that are made on storyboards as you probably know. However, only a little bit of them make it into episodes. So, if you think about it, there could very well be a storyboard for "Uncle Sherm's Visit" and I think there may be one. So it could be an episode, but before we add it, let's wait until it gets confirmed by nick.de.
Copyvio
- What is going on here? Who violated it? -AMK152 21:36, 21 November 2006 (UTC)
- It seems that some of the episodes summaries (especially the season four episodes at the bottom of the episode list) were copied from TV.com's season four episode list, although there could be the possibility that some of these summaries could have been submitted here first, then submitted to TV.com. Squirepants101 21:52, 21 November 2006 (UTC)
- Can't we just change them? The entire article isn't copyvio. -AMK152 02:04, 22 November 2006 (UTC)
- I remember submitting some of the summaries here on Wikipedia to TV.com, so it might be all my fault. --SpongeSebastian 02:23, 22 November 2006 (UTC)
Tempory Page

Reformatted part of the article
I reformatted season one to help trim this article's size down and it worked. It does not say the article is too long anymore. Even though this article's size is less, the other seasons would need reformatting to prevent this article from becoming too large. Squirepants101 23:07, 22 November 2006 (UTC)
Why are users changing Born to be Wild to Burn to be Wild?
I've noticed that some users are changing Born to be Wild to Burn to be Wild. It's actually Born to be Wild according to the credits. To see the credits, go to this link and watch Best Frenemies. When you hit 10:32 (in minutes) on Windows Media Player, the credits show the cast for each episode and in big capital letters, it reads, "Born to be Wild." Squirepants101 01:42, 23 November 2006 (UTC)
Unfinished Episodes
I am going to search for unfinished episodes of Spongebob. Then, I suggest that we should make an unfinished episode section on the episode page.--Patrickrox11 15:43, 23 November 2006 (UTC)Patrickrox11

Hello Mr. Patrickrox11, or Chikinpotato11 i think that the title cards are just fine with every title card on all the seasons. I think that maybe u can leave it alone. thank you. Zany zacky. If you have questions post in on my talk page.
Protected?
Should this page be protected because some users have disagreed with this "new" format for season 1 and keep trying to change it back to the way it was. This article is also becoming a breeding ground for vandalism (look at all the fake episodes users have been adding recently) even with the warning posted on season 4. Squirepants101 13:27, 27 November 2006 (UTC)
Wow.
Does anyone else find it interesting that we are missing articles on great literary classics, yet we have an archive of spongebob squarepants epsiodes with a seperate synopsis for each one? Unnessicary, much? --ABigBlackMan 14:53, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
- I don't really see what's the problem here since you can actually create some of these articles about literary classics. Besides, other T.V. show articles have their own episode list article and even articles about the episodes themselves. There are are even Wikiprojects exclusive to episode list articles, and episode articles. Squirepants101 22:18, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
- What are those literary clasics? I know that the article on Little Women is just over a stub, but is there nonetheless. ''[[User:Kitia|Kitia]] 23:26, 6 December 2006 (UTC)

re: the 2nd sentence in the 1st paragraph of this article:

Unlock
Unlock this page right now!
- Umm...exactly why do you want this page to be unprotected. If the page was unprotected, then the users who contribute to this page would have to deal with the heavy vandalism again (adding fake episodes, etc.). By the way, if you want this page to be unprotected, go to WP:RFP and make a request there...with a reason. Squirepants101 22:29, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
- This isn't about fake episodes this time, it's about aritlces about some episodes using "SpongeBob SquarePants" instead of "SpongeBob SquarePants episode". The only reason why I want this page to be unprotected is because I can't edit something when it's protected.
Spelling/Grammar
I have noticed that in many of the episode descriptions, people have been using incorrect spelling/grammar. Normally this wouldn't be a problem, but I have seen three or four cases of this per description. Just saying that maybe you want to check over your spelling/grammar.
Fake Seasons
There are no confirmed 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, or 13 seasons. Also, some of these episodes I can tell are fake, especially the ones that are just sequels to previous episodes.
- Actually, a season 6 has been confirmed.--SpongeSebastian 07:29, 21 January 2007 (UTC)

(SpongeBob SquarePants episode) Vs (SpongeBob SquarePants)
According to Wikipedia:Naming conventions (television), an episode page that is the same name of another article, should have ONLY the show's title name in parenthesis. The only time the addition "episode" is added is when the episode title is the same name of a character or object in the show. --SpongeSebastian 02:55, 1 February 2007 (UTC) What about the episode "Doodlebob Returns".

The result of the debate was move —--SpongeSebastian 19:34, 3 February 2007 (UTC)
I don't know who moved the episodes back, but whoever did it surely wasn't aware of Wikipedia:Naming conventions (television).
I request that all SpongeBob episode articles ending with "(SpongeBob SquarePants episode)" to be moved back to "(SpongeBob SquarePants)" (with the acception of Jellyfishing and Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy) in order to comply with Wikipedia's rules. --SpongeSebastian 14:20, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
- I've moved them back, per our television episode naming conventions. Cheers. -GTBacchus(talk) 08:24, 3 February 2007 (UTC)

Betos00, CRWXTr7, CRWXT, and WzMG5LJ are all sockpuppets
Just to let the editors of this page know, all those users are sockpuppets. See User:WzMG5LJ for more information about this. He claims that he is from Guatemala and claims that he's trying to "help" Wikipedia by adding possible episodes to this page (and quite a few other articles). Note: He knows that these episodes he's adding are fake, so the warnings might not work against him. Squirepants101 01:38, 6 February 2007 (UTC) actually CRWXT is not from WzMG5LJ
Season 5 already started?
It says in the article that some of the episodes from the presidents' day thing are part of Season 5. I haven't heard that announced or anything. It seems like vandalism to me, but I didn't delete them because I'm not completely sure.
Yeah. Those episodes are from Season 5. They aren't on the Season 4 DVD's, so they must be from Season 5. --Patrickrox11 00:21, 26 February 2007 (UTC)Patrickrox11
Let's trim the captions errors please...
It seems to me that much is made of the caption errors in the Spongebob episode Trivia sections.
In my opinion, caption errors are too trivial even for the trivia section -- most TV shows have them, yet you don't see them mentioned on other TV show Wikipedia articles.

Descriptions
I've been noticing that a few of the one or two sentence descriptions for the episodes on this list that I've been making a bit more easy to understand have been either reverted back to what was there before or replaced with descriptions that are more vague. I was just wondering why that was happening.
Screenshots
Get rid of all the images/screenshots in this article
They are taking up much of the article's space. According to Wikipedia's fair use policy, the ammount of copyrighted work should be used as little as possible and that images should contribute significantly to the article. It seems that these images are being used solely for a decorative purpose (squint your eyes and you can see that this article is just an image gallery with words in it). As one editor put it, this article is a giant fair-use disaster. Squirepants101 16:24, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

Consensus regarding screenshots
I am requesting a consensus about whether to include both title cards and screenshots or not. There seems to be a dispute about this, as seen in the history of the page. Remember that Wikipedia is not a democracy and that this is not a vote. Explain your reasoning, please. Squirepants101 02:06, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
- Note that by screenshots, we are referring to the ones found in the episodes. Squirepants101 19:23, 7 April 2007 (UTC)

We need more screenshots!
Can someone who has a DVD player on their computer or a video capture card please upload screenshots for every episode? Thanks. --SpongeSebastian 22:37, 7 April 2007 (UTC)
- SpongeSebastian, we are trying to get rid of the screenshots. They require a lot of maintenance, take up too much space, and completely overrule the copyright law. We should have 1 picture to describe the episode, which is the title card. No more screenshots should be added at all, so don't ask for them. Setherex 04:55, 16 April 2007 (UTC)
- Well, then can't we just remove the title cards and replace them with screenshots? A lot of episode lists use screenshots instead of title cards. --SpongeSebastian 01:57, 19 April 2007 (UTC)
- Title cards are television screenshots, but if we didn't take the title cards off, some users may consider the article an even larger fair use disaster (most of the images here don't have fair use rationales). Squirepants101 12:19, 19 April 2007 (UTC)
- Squire, the title cards aren't very useful, that's why we should get rid of them. --SpongeSebastian 03:10, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
