Wrong

Look at season 5. The episode numbers go from 91 to 93. I fixeed it but then somebody messed it up again so people need to take a look at that. And that means 4 Gimmie 5 episodes are in season five and one is in season 6. Jibajabba 9:51, 27 March 2008 (UTC)

The list goes by production numbers, not by random placement. -AMK152(TalkContributionsSend message) 21:09, 27 March 2008 (UTC)

They are not random placement I am changeing them again! Jibajabba 10:35 29 March 2008

It is best to have the list consistant. If you have most of the episodes in Production order and some episodes not in production order, it is random. Plus, if we had it the way you wanted it, the episode numbers would be useless because they were in the wrong order. -AMK152(TalkContributionsSend message) 00:42, 30 March 2008 (UTC)

Your way is random because you skip like 3 numbers so I am right and no offence but you are wrong. Jibajabba 11:00 30 March 2008 (UTC)

Random? Okay let's see here. Episodes 1 through 91 are in the correct order. Episode 92 is not even there. This is because that episode is unknown. Same with episodes 96 and 98. The episode numbers for Le Big Switch, Goo Goo Gas, Pest of the West, Spongicus, and Nautical Nonsense are unknown. Perhaps there is a better compromise. See the season 5 section. -AMK152(TalkContributionsSend message) 18:28, 30 March 2008 (UTC)

Well, I know what episode 92, 96, and 98 are. They are in my way so if you would just do it my way! Jibajabba 12:03 March 30 2008 (UTC)

How are they in your way? -AMK152(TalkContributionsSend message) 19:37, 30 March 2008 (UTC)

Episode 92 is Le Big Switch/Goo Goo Gas. 96 is 20,000 patties under the sea/the battle of bikini bottom. And 98 is Banned in Bikini Bottom/Stanley S. SquarePants. So that means every Gimmie 5 episode is in season 5 exept Penny Foolish and every episode has aired in season five except Goo Goo Gas. Jibajabba 19:39 30 March 2008 (UTC)

The production numbers that have been revealed are correct. -AMK152(TalkContributionsSend message) 02:43, 31 March 2008 (UTC)

How do you know? Jibajabba 7:00 31 March 2008 (UTC)

TV Guides, episode guide websites, season box sets, etc. -AMK152(TalkContributionsSend message) 14:06, 31 March 2008 (UTC)

Here is what happens. Somebody puts a post on wikipedia like the post you want and then TV.com comes to wikipedia to see if thier website is right and copies it. And now people check on TV.com and other websites and think that they are right but they they just copied some post on wikipedia. Gone and Penny Foolish

Is thier any websites I can watch those episodes because I am a SpongeBob nut and I want to see every episode and i haven't seen those. Jibajabba 11:08 28 March 2008 (UTC)

I am hoping to get this to be a featured list. This section will be for discussion to achieve thsi goal. -AMK152(TalkContributionsSend message) 15:29, 12 April 2008 (UTC)

Avoid bold links in the lead, per WP:LEAD#Bold title. Done
Image caption is a fragment so it doesn't need a period. Done
Image needs a fair use rationale for use in this article. Done
Image could be made bigger - perhaps check WP:MOS#Images, I seem to recall the lead image (only) can be up to 300 px. Done
"d twenty-two minute specials." - is that 22 x 1 minute or 20 x 2 minutes? If the former then I'd say 22 one-minute specials. Latter then twenty two-minute specials. Done
"Bellow" below? Done
Do you have citations for the claims in the lead re:marathons etc? Done
" November 9-10" which year? And separate the dates with an en dash instead of a hyphen. Done
Worth explaining why each episode has multiple titles. Not done
Season One etc doesn't need the capitalisation - Season one is fine (as per the main article titles) Done

Change the lead to
"This is a list of episodes of SpongeBob SquarePants, an animated television series broadcast on Nickelodeon, an American cable network aimed at children aged seven to twelve. SpongeBob SquarePants premiered on....."

That way, the lead sentence is bolded correctly, the wikilinking of the title is done correctly, and you're providing context to the reader in regards to Nickelodeon.

Done
"Each season thus far has consisted of twenty episodes." can be simply "Each season consists of twenty episodes." This removes the past tense, as even in 20 years, each season will still consist of 20 episodes Done
"A total of 102 episodes have aired to date." Change this to "As of (insert date of last episode to be aired), 102 episodes have aired." Done
"The series also had a feature film," Change this to "A feature film, The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie complements the series, and premiered in theaters in the US...", which will remove the past tense, and also state where in the world it premiered Done
"Four of the seasons have received complete DVD releases, and half of the fifth season is also available on DVD." Add a reference from TVShowsOnDVD.com Done
Wikilink or otherwise explain what a "marathon" is. (Not a 26 mile run, I assume.) Done
For me, "There have been many marathons in which viewers vote for their favorite episodes. One of the more notable marthons is the Best Day Ever marathon,[2][3][4][5] which aried from November 9—10, 2006 and named "Karate Island" the best episode ever to date" is unnecessary, but as it is, the em-dash should be an en-dash, per WP:DASH, and you should say who named "Karate Island" the best episode? Was it the network, in which case it could just have been a tool to get more viewers, or was it from a third party media company? Unknown
Episode list}} to create the episode tables. This will allow for information such as episode numbers, production codes, writers, directors and a whole bunch of other things. This is a pretty important thing to do, because when/if each individual season article becomes featured, the tables can be transcluded. Working on
If you are aiming for FL, take a look at List of Lost episodes, and List of Degrassi: The Next Generation episodes. They (and other FLs) have a season overview section, which is a table for DVD information. This should be included here, too. Done
Follow the style of other featured episode lists and instead of the Headers being "Season one: 1999–2000", just make them "Season one". Done
"The season consited of a total of twenty episodes." has a spelling mistake, and is in the past tense. The sentence is not really needed as it is mentioned in the lead, so I would remove it (and from the prose of the rest of the seasons). Done
"However, the aforementioned episode..." Don't start a sentence with a conjunction. Done
Remove the Feature film section, as it is not an episode. You can link to it in the See also section Not done
I see the DVD section at the bottom of the page. This is what I meant above regarding an overview section. There seems to be conflicting information too, in that the episode numbers do not add up. Done
I'm not convinced the shorts and crossovers are actual episodes, and might be better moved to a new page. Done
I've noticed a notice on the article's talk page requesting screenshots be included to improve it's quality. I would remove this, because they will all be fair-use images, and if only 4 are added it will get the page failed at WP:FLC. No other featured episode list has them anyway. Done

Episode numbers

I think that each episode should be their own so people understand there is 208 episodes not 104 each episode should be seperate not together —Preceding unsigned comment added by 12.207.91.251 (talk) 15:59, 4 May 2008 (UTC)

The table is fine the way it is. No one has been confused by the current numbering scheme. If it ain't broke, why fix it? Xenon54 00:25, 5 May 2008 (UTC)
I agree with User:Xenon54. It is my understanding that most TV series follow this numbering scheme which would include short segments into the total. I think it would be nicer if TV series would follow the suggestion made by User:12.207.91.251; however, it's obviously a little late to change that around. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.202.38.225 (talk) 04:28, 25 May 2008 (UTC)

This page needs some work

And ill do the work Jibajabba 00:15, 18 May 2008 (UTC)

So will I. I started adding Directors on Seasons 1-3 so far and I finished Writers Season 3 as well. So I'm taking a break for now. As soon as i get the DVDs for Seasons 1-4, too, ill add the Directors and Writers.--Wikialexdx (talk) 16:33, 24 May 2008 (UTC)

Multiple episode titles

Peer review comment: Worth explaining why each episode has multiple titles.

Yes, there have been episodes which have been refered to differently than the episode title or that an episode's original title was changed. This was suggested to be palce in the article, but I cannot verify exactly 'why' these episodes had multiple titles. I would guess for marketing or soemthign, but it cannot be sourced. Unless someone has any ideas or sources or something, I am not going to add this in. -AMK152(TalkContributionsSend message) 13:45, 27 June 2008 (UTC)

Marathons

Peer review comment: For me, "There have been many marathons in which viewers vote for their favorite episodes.

I'm not to sure about this, and would like to know what everyone else thinks. I originally put this in here to lengthen the short head. Additionally, as it refers to voting for episodes, perhaps it is worth while noting it. Or perhaps it deserves its own section? Any thoughts? -AMK152(TalkContributionsSend message) 13:45, 27 June 2008 (UTC)

Mention of film in article

Peer review comment: Remove the Feature film section, as it is not an episode. You can link to it in the See also section

I don't really care whether or not this has its own section in the article. The film's link is in the template at the bottom of the article. Any thoughts? -AMK152(TalkContributionsSend message) 13:45, 27 June 2008 (UTC)

New Episodes

Since I "don't have an account" it won't let me edit the episodes page, so I would just like to tell someone to edit for for 5 new episodes airing August 4th-8th. Episode 107B, No Nose Knows airs August 4, while the following episdoes air the 5th-8th, with unknown production codes: THe Patty Caper, Plankton's Regular, Grooming Gary, and Boating Buddies. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.113.79.227 (talk) 04:52, 20 July 2008 (UTC)

Mistakes

Since you idiots won't let me edit this page, I'm just pointing out some mistakes. There have been 105 1/2 episodes to air, not 104 1/2. Also, you have the episodes Help Wanted/Reef Blower/Tea At The Treedome to have first aired May 1, 1999 and then as a normal episode on July 17, 1999. They didn't air as an actual episode until July 24, 1999. Change it. Now.

That`s not nice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We`re not idiots! How would you like it if someone called you an idiot?! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dcrocks96 (talkcontribs) 21:08, 4 August 2008 (UTC)

Nick.com Schedule

I was reading Nick.com's schedule, and it showed, August fifth, an episode called 'Patrick Picks a Nose' and one on August eighth called 'The Krabby Kronicle.' I assume they're new episodes? --Alice2 (talk) 15:38, 2 August 2008 (UTC)

What Happened????????????

Can someone please tell me why the season pages have disappeared??????? My brother loves Spongebob and today I went to look at the season 6 page because there are new episodes airing tonight and it was gone. What happened? It was so nice to have the separate sections with the plot summary, air dates, and some pictures. Whoever erased it, fix it. Now. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Dcrocks96 (talkcontribs) 21:05, 4 August 2008 (UTC)

I don't see any spelling mistakes. Could you be more specific? -AMK152(TalkContributionsSend message) 22:52, 10 August 2008 (UTC)

Help Improve the episode articles

In order to have the episode articles back, they need to be improved. The episodes will be improved one by one, starting with the pilot episode. Go to Wikipedia:WikiProject_SpongeBob_SquarePants/Episode_Improvement to improve the pilot episode.

If we're supposedly starting with the pilot episode, how come when you click on episode improvement it goes to the new ones??! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.202.38.225 (talk) 22:30, 29 August 2008 (UTC)

Assessment Rating

This is a list article. Who decided to give it an A-rating? List articles only qualify for Start, List, and Featured List. Unless something happened here that I don't know of, it should be re-rated to List-class. --haha169 (talk) 04:23, 19 August 2008 (UTC)

Repeated columns

I noticed that most of the airdates go repeat themselves, such as:
May 1, 1999
May 1, 1999
May 1, 1990
July 24, 1999
July 24, 1999
...which doesn't look neat at all. If you look at this previous version of the page, you'll see that the shorts that shared the same airdates only displayed that one in the list. Same goes for the numbers. Instead of:
1a
1b
1c
2a
2b
It should be:
1
2
Since I'm not a master at wikicode, I can't do it myself, but could someone please make it that way because it looks a lot better. Thanks.--SpongeSebastian (talk) 02:04, 1 February 2009 (UTC)

I would look at some recent featured lists as they no longer start with "This is a list of...". A model article is useful for ideas and examples to follow - List of QI episodes seems to be the most recent TV episode list to make FL and may be a useful model (there are many other FLs on episodes, but the standards at FLC have gotten tighter lately and looking at WP:WIAFL would also be a good idea. Done
I would identify the characters in the lead image. It needs a fair use rationale for this article too. Many episode lists have pictures of the DVDs / their cover art. Done
The lead uses the word episode to refer to two things - an episode (made up of 1, 2 or 3 segments of varying length) or confusingly, to these same segments. The sentences As of June 5, 2009, a total of 121 episodes have aired. and this later one As of June 5, 2009, the total number of episodes individually is 236, with 8 revealed individual episodes unaired. seem to contradict each other. I have used the word segment to refer to the parts that make up episodes - I have no idea if this is an acceptable word or not, but there needs to be a better word - using episode to mean two different things is needlessly confusing and will not fly at FLC. Done
Avoid the use of the word currently as in currently in its sixth season. Since you use As of June 2009 later, could these be combined (so there is just one as of date sentence to update in the lead)? The lists indicate we are now in season seven though so this needs to be updated. Done
Prose is decent but a copyedit wouldn't hurt - for example, remove "all" in Five of the seasons are all available on DVD.[6] Done
Be consistent - the Overview table gives end dates for "Originally aired" but the section headers do not for seasons 5, 6 and 7. I think this is because there are unaired (at least in the US) episodes for each season (at least in the US), but to me it makes no sense to say we are currently still in three different seasons, even if one episode each from seasons 5 and 6 remain unaired. Done
I think the introductions to the Season sections should answer questions, not raise them. But in Season One, The pilot episode, "Help Wanted" was not included on the season one DVD, due to copyright issues. The aforementioned episode was included as a bonus feature on a future season's DVD. First off this needs a ref. Second it needs to say which future season this was released on. Third, I think a sentence explaining what the copyright problem was is needed (it is not here or in the Season One article). Finally, this is awkwardly written and could be some thing like The pilot episode, "Help Wanted" was not included on the season one DVD, due to copyright issues. It was included as a bonus feature on the season three DVD, after the copyright problem .... was resolved by .... Done
Similarly the unaired epsiodes in seasons 5 and 6 need to be mentioned in their section paragraphs and perhaps even in the lead. Why are they unreleased in the US? Done
General refs are from internet and need an access date. Done
Would it be possible to add the segment length in minutes to each entry, perhaps as a new column in the table? Unneeded

Picture

In the picture for the List of Episodes, I noticed that it shows the full names of every charicter. But not for Mr. Krabs. I have put the full name for him as well. So now it says Mr. Eugene Krabs. Thanks, Micaela

Is it...

...still necessary to protect this page?--76.174.71.100 (talk) 16:41, 22 August 2009 (UTC)

I don't think its very nesccesary really, but it may be the issue of episode articles is its reasoning of being protected. I am not an administrator so I cannot do anything about it. Jibajabba (talk) 11:55, 6 June 2012 (UTC)

Well...

...I just thought of these sections as being a bit more... organized...--YgoFan90 (talk) 23:52, 27 August 2009 (UTC)

It isn't. It is redundant. Especially for the early "episodes", Nick didn't advertise them as specials. Such labeling came from fans. The specials are listed in the template. I assume you want what is best for the article and by judging from other FL-class articles of the same style, no one else lists the specials both in the season lists and separately. BOVINEBOY2008 :) 00:00, 28 August 2009 (UTC)
I agree, there is no need for a specials section. That is very redundant, and confusing. Mokoniki | talk 00:04, 28 August 2009 (UTC)
But if there's a films section, why isn't there a specials section?--YgoFan90 (talk) 15:24, 28 August 2009 (UTC)
The films section should be removed. The feature film obviously wasn't an episode and the television film are considered episodes in the list. BOVINEBOY2008:) 15:31, 28 August 2009 (UTC)
